Alice always acknowledged Arthur Brown as an influence... To me, it's very simple but quite powerful--in a way similar to what Peter Gabriel did with his strange onstage personas in Genesis.
Even through those primitive 4/8 track recordings and novice engineers, you can hear Brown had a such a unique vocal range. Wouldn't it seem a reasonable match if he could of be-freinded Jimmy Page and Atlantic first? Sorry to say Robert Plant couldn't match Arthur in dynamics, tone, enflexion and Balls
Great rare footage..thanks for posting this. Seems there were almost innumerable versions/remixes of this and some of the other tracks form the first lp. This is best because the band is mixed up while they kick ass and all the horns and rubbish are mixed way back. I's like to see Arthur to one more mix of the albunm and unreleased tracks 'naked', just him and the organ trio, in your face. I'd volunteer to help mix! You can email me....
I caught this full show live in Philly 5th row center in Philly, it was fabulous!!!

@hisvorpalswords
I don't think glam when I hear or see this. I see shock rock a la Alice Cooper and hear Floyd
