  • Great sound. Just the old days.

  • Thank you soooooooo much for this vid. I LOVE the fortunes and was born too late to appreciate them in their time, however,,, the best EVER harmony group. they're still even now fantastic. xx

  • far owt i remember my parents buying their 1st cassette when i was little and thrashing it lol loved it and still do ....

  • you make such cracking videos well done all from my era

  • Thank you very much for posting this video!

RIP Rod - we miss you.

  • Excuse me, but RIP Barry Pritchard as well. Sadly missed: great harmony singer and fab guitar player.

  • @gibson3524 because of a lack of live performances in the usa some people had the mistaken impression that glen dale was the lead singer they all sang but rod allen sang lead on the hits...

  • @spacepatrolman

Sure, but what's that got to do with my comment? I just stated that Barry Pritchard was a great harmony singer without whom the Fortunes hits wouldn't have sounded like they did. And the proof is there: after Barry left the Fortunes never sounded that good again, even with Rod Allen on lead vocals.........

Never knew where the Glen Dale fable came from. Even on Live at the Cavern Rod was the main singer, also on earlier singles like "Caroline". Never rated Glen as a lead singer..

  • @gibson3524 a dj in new york norm n .night [ he is now on the board of directors of the rockand roll hall of fame ] said that glen dale was the leader of the group maybe he was as far as business decesions and guitar solos ...

  • Freedom come, freedom go :)
