Hmm i miss one Variation here: the eighth...and the ninth should sound stronger and faster...much stronger and faster imo...but who am I to judge Gilels :D he was great nontheless

I just listened to the Gould interpretation of this same work. What struck me as odd was that Gilels' version seemed to MOVE FASTER than Gould's did - though Gould wraps the piece up in about 10 minutes! In my estimation, Gilels wins hands down here...
