  • You're funny - and that is some tattoo !

  • Nice backing track. It's from Jazzbacks.

  • Wow, very....VERY cool.

  • Qu'en dit Adam de ta "patte" à toi, perso je préfère, inventif et espiègle, drôle en plus alors!

Pour ma part je le Joue "j'essaye" en douce que personne n'entende au cas ou, avec un Bb.

  • Great version of this classic jazz standard. I remember playing this in school on trumpet. The funky effects are great. Also, I like how the fireball mic keeps the harmonica's sound pure and soulful without adding any grit. Awesome!!!

A bientôt .....David

  • Nice :D

  • Dear Christelle:

I had previously thought that the "Saxophony Sound" which you emit on an Ab Harmonica in your renditions of "Baby Now That I've Found You," "Misty," & "Ma Preference" & the "Saxophony Sound" you emit on a Bb Harmonica in your renditions of "Impossible Dream," & "Hallelujah" (2nd Version) were ONLY possible on Harmonicas in Ab and Bb. You have replicated the seductive allure of the Saxophone here in "Watermelon Man" on a C Harmonica. What musical prowess you own! I love you.

  • Beautiful

  • i want that shirt!!!!!

  • Thanks for your advice; I will work on it. I am mainly a trumpet player, coming back to the harp after many years (I played in a blues band a long time ago, but wasn't very good). It was unfair to mention Howard Levy, who is also a pianist with a full mastery of the bebop idiom (I'm mostly a jazz player). But you really make some beautiful music - not just the stale old Little Walter licks that even most of the big "names" resort to. Tres magnifique! - et Merci!

  • Beautiful solo - and you're very funny! Tried to play along; I've never liked C diatonic harps. I can get the upper #9 (Bb) overdraw just about every time on my Seydel , but I don't own it - good pitch but no volume; don't know if it's me or the harp. I actually think it's more the harp, but I'll keep working on it. You're almost my favorite harp player (Howard Levy is No. 1 with me). Kind regards, bixntram

  • @bixntram

Thanks a lot for watching my vids bixtram...In fact i think it comes from your breathing even if you're right the instrument could be responsible of some defects that you're describing, but if the instrument is good you should find the answers within yourself

Btw , WOW putting me so close to Howard Levy? Come on ! There're a lot of cats before me and him like Jason, Carlos......

  • 1:23 I see you got a harmonica tat! nioce I got one too but note sure if you can see it in my profile pic

  • Very Very nice love the affects and hitting those note right on the money too!

  • Very nice in deed!

  • It's funny and beautiful. Good sound.

  • Christelle... Wonderful job there!! Okay Gal.... what in the world are you doing on that harp?

What overblows are you doing? I have heard Gussow do this song as one of his favorites and you are hitting it on all cyinders! Please enlighten us!!!

  • @Elwood441

Elwood, all over bends are in this one, except the 8 9 10 overdraws

  • Who are the two deaf people who don't like this music?

  • Excellent video!

  • I love how you can make the harp sound like a stringed instrument sometimes and then sound like horns at other times. I know some of it is effects but I venture a guess that most of it is skill and technique. This is one of the best covers of Watermelon Man that I've heard.

  • Really beautiful; I did not know that you dance as well.

    Steve

  • There is such clarity in your tone! You rock girl!!

  • Amazing !

  • You're so amazing.....love this!!! :)

  • Very nice! Are you living in the USA?

  • Bravo Christelle ça fait du bien de te voir en super forme et j'imagine mon idole sur scène devant des salles combles.

    Merci pour cette superbe interprétation.

    Amitiés Francis
