  • sweet voice, but pathetic pronunciation !!!!

  • Dear She Is A Vedic Singer Not Like u.. You are Pathetic..Before writing the comment think several times as u think like that u will be..This Pronunciation Is Very Clear As per many legends Then Only They Have allowed her in to the SACRED CHANT VOLUMES.. otherwise they will not allow you to make CD's n Publish..

  • @shastry009 "This pronunciation is very clear"....I agree 100%....the diction is crystal clear...that means even the mistakes will be clearly audible. I am not saying the voice is bad, what i am saying is "the pronunciation is incorrect" e.g. the word हरिणीम् has been pronounced as हरिणिम्, word रजस्रजाम् wrongly pronounced as रजतस्त्रजाम्, the word देवीमुपह्‌वये wrongly as देवीमुपव्हये...& so on.....this is what I am talking about, if one cares to understand.

  • @shastry009 I would like to know what is the meaning of "Vedic singer". Do you mean to say that she has learned the Vedas in a Vedic School ( वेदपाठशाला ) ?

many of the SCARED CHANT VOLUMES have even more pathetic pronunciations than this one, so less said the better.... LOL

another thing, you say 'You are pathetic'....how do you know that i am pathetic ?

i didn't need to think before writing the comment because if a pronunciation is wrong, its wrong, you don't need to think about it.

  • Melodious voice.. Jai Maa Lakshmi..

  • Im reading it :D

  • Jai Maa Lakshmi!

  • hi guys. I love the culture and spirituality of India!

I was just wondering what you think of all these internationally backed people, who are trying to ruin India's culture by putting all these up these barricades, and security presence in India's temples, and making bids to modify their architecture, as a means to ruin the spiritual experience.

  • @tarahSky3: I was wondering what the YOUNG PROFESSIONALS are doing out of India! With so many pros exiting, their kids and grandkids, etc. will become lost eventually - thats what happened to me. When my foreparents came out of India by way of being sold the "idea" of a better life, which was a lie and they, my foreparents, didn't teach their off-spring very much which led to me being "ignorant" and it irks me to know they didn't pass on that great culture and language.

  • thanku.

  • Precioso!

  • Precioso!

  • Thank you for this , peace be with you

  • Excellent Job. Please however take care in pronunciation of this Suktam

  • million thanks for uploading with translation .

  • Thanks very much for upload !!

  • Thanks! This is great! You have no idea what it means. Its for scientists. Only physicists and Astonomy scholars know what these and that other narayana upanishad means.

Einstein knew Gita & Robert Openheimer can even pick particular sentence from Gita at the time of 1st Nuclear reaction.

  • that you so much for posting this and replying to me.. i am so happy that you have taken the time and effort in replying and helping humanity.. i truly truly am grateful

  • When I was a kid, I remember, my granny would recite Sri Sooktam every morning in fluent Sanskrit. I have waken up every morning listening to Sri Sooktam. Whenever I hear this now, eyes brim with tears remembering her and my warm childhood. Beauty of our holy Vedas. Because of Sri Sooktam, I started reading Vedas and explored our great past. After studying most of the religions, I agree, no other religion is as rich as Hinduism. I am Iranic by the way. Thanks buddy for uploading.

  • Melodious and soothing voice with good translation; would have added more value if sung correctly - stanza 8/9; appreciate if can re recorded and posted back here. God bless you and thanks for posting a wonderful song. Keep up....

  • This is great. Is there a way I can get access to this?

  • Thank YOu very much for your contribution!

    Om Tat Sat

  • @IngaTeraud

Thank you may goddess Lakshmi bless you with abundance that leads to wealth and contentment

    Ramesh krishnakumar

  • Beautiful. Thanks. God Bless You.

  • THE LANGUAGE IS SANSKRIT

  • Whereas I can get the same singer? She sounds pretty good.

  • what language is this?

  • @lemuriavi it's Samaskritham (sanskrit). It's the ancient language used in the Sri Veda Ji (the holy Vedas). The language is forbidden to be used in our daily lives for the use communication with others. This language is only reserved for the religion.

  • @joinesa5 I am sorry, but this statement of yours is wrong. Samskrtam was the language of Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas till Mahabharatha atleast. Besides, Spoken Samskrtam is different from the Samskrtam of Vedas.

Please do your research carefully before passing such comments.

  • @vvenkat111 how many vedas were there in satya yuga? how many castes were there in tretha yuga? Why do u think that sanskrit belongs only to the brahmans.we know very well that Valmiki was a tribal but well versed in sanskrit. Similar example is that of Sabari who was also very well knowlegable about vedic rituals - that is the version in the actual Ramayana and not television which shows a different version of sabari.

  • @ajuba1 Please read my comment properly before replying. I spoke about Pronunciation meaning Prosody and intonation. My later reply was to @joinesa5 who contends that Samskrtam was forbidden as a language for communication and restricted to religious purposes. I have NOT raised any issues based on caste. Nor have I affirmed anywhere that the vedas belong to the Brahmans.

  • @vvenkat111 true...but it did not appear so......god bless you with enlightenment from the vedas.....

  • melodiously sung! It helps me to recite shri suktam correctly.thanks a lot. God bless the team...

  • Nice but I felt a little sea sick after the first 7-8 minutes.

  • Excellent piece,Thanks. I use this to learn and understand sri sukta better.

    thank you!

  • This is awesome. :)

  • i spit more than my tea

    ooga shole

  • Hey I was just wondering if you could upload the Lyrics (vedas) under the more info section...this way it will be easier for me to recite the hymns... am still in the learning phase :/

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • May the Vedas which sprout forth from the heart of Sri Vishnu, bring enlighenment to all. May all the Devas be honored and recieve all respect from all human beings. May suffering go away for all. And may this ghastly Kali Yuga erode away with the power of the Vedas which aim to deliever all creatures from Maya...

  • "O, first among those in the land"

humans cannot exist without pre-existing sustenance to live and function of foremostly.

this is the genius of the Sages

  • Very Good Work - Sri Shuktam will help all - use it for anything you wish and you will be fine. -God bless you all - thanks,

  • Great work..thank you team

  • makes you feel as if you are in vedic age. Supreme composition.

  • thank you..Very nice

  • very beautiful voice...thank you very much for uploading the sri suktam... :)

  • Thanks so much for uploading srisuktam with the translations. It is pure joy to know the meaning of something as powerful as this. However, i earnestly wish the way of chanting followed the beautiful and powerful flow of vedic hymns rather than the artist's altered presentation. Sanskrit is a language engineered to perfection and each syllable can be pronounced in different ways , giving different meanings. Anybody who is chanting vedic hymns, please take the effort for correct pronounciation.

  • Why is this lady "singing" this SlokA? SlokAs are NOT meant to be "sung". One of the foremost rules of upAsanA is proper pronunciation and recitation of mantrAs. At least, I believe this woman is Indian (Hindu) so that is good; it is far better than having some mleccha (westerner or other non-Hindu) "sing" a SlOkA.

  • Where can I find the mp3 version of this?

  • Very beautiful pronunciation and singing. Very uplifting effect. Thanks for the translation too. Jai Ma!

  • Thanks a lot for posting this Shri Suktam Video which has EXCELLENT Sanskrit Renderings by : Shweta Pandit. Also commending is the English Translations Of The Sanskrit Words By : Shri Ramesh Krishnakumar.

  • very nice keep it up

  • How related is this language to Hindi language?

  • HI there,

This is a hymn called "Sri Sukta" to the divine mother (Hindusim). "Sri Sukta" is part of the later parts of Rig Veda.

All Veda mantras are in Chandas style( an ancient form) of Sanskrit language which is related to Hindi just like Latin is related to Italian........or other EU languages!
