his argument that self server barcode swiping is difficult is total Bull S_hit to make his point. Nothing could be easier please get your head out of your ass!
He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
@Kwasi5179 I've heard this argument so many times before about so many different technologies. I understand your concern but don't hastily mark everything you might have a doubt about as the mark of the beast.
@Kwasi5179 Hmmm. People get very passionate about RFID, privacy and security. 666? Interesting that if you look at every printed bar code you will see that someone decided when inventing the system to put 6 at beginning, 6 in middle and a 6 at the end. Pick up any bar code item in your home and you will see this is true - 666 hidden in printed numbers above or below, used to calibrate bar code as it is read. But that does not mean tins of beans or packets of crisps are owned by the devil!
“What we really want is an end to checkouts” Really? I don’t care about queuing at the checkout that much. I do however care about a multinational corporation, that’s only interested in money know my ever move, whereabouts and consumption habits. This is so satanic! Wake up people, cant you see that?!
This is a monstrous idea. God forbid this would happen in my lifetime. This demonic Englishman (surprise, suprise) is unabashedly selling idea as though it were a good thing. Only an idiot would think there was any benefit in being chipped like an animal in a zoo, is a good thing. Voluntary slavery! What happens if someone turns the rfid chip off, what if yours gets counterfeited with that of a wanted criminal? Is that a chance you would take for free broadband?
i was dreaming about ths technology , for long time, finally we have this. am sure, if the cost are very low everything will be tagged with RFID, include our shoes, so when we walk in to work , the Time in Records..
Sounds good, let's do it! That way someone can set off an EMP pulse and everything i grab is free of charge. Go home with it and microwave the chip so it can't be tracked! Has this idiot jackass of a speaker thought of that?!?
@MarkFaust RFID wireless barcodes already here, techno works well tho can as you suggest be tampered with or blocked with a big electromagnetic pusle - but would have to be sustained to disrupt - say - a retail store or warehouse.
i think this is a great idea connecting it to the phone i think the public dosnt want anything to do with rfid because just who gets to use the info on them and i think credit cards belong to greedy people
Let me ask you Patrick Dixon, don't you think Corporate power is getting out of control. Don't you think the way we're treating our planet is horrible. Isn't it time to stop thinking about saving costs and increasing productivity until we reduce pollution in the world. Perhaps we could use RFID chip technology on all the members in the Tri-Laterall Commision and the Bilderberg Group and have giant screens in cities showing where these people are 24/7. that would be great now wouldn't it?
Essential component = Random Number Generator needed for secure communication with the chips. They can't use this RNG circuit now because of patent issues. IBM asked me to help them with this... and it turned out that my product is the key and was first on the market in the US in 1994. I and others have been suckered into their web of deceit. I dont want to go into history as the man who made the fourth reich possible. Please help!!

Thats one of the worst arguments I've ever heard - although people like yourself are not hard to find ... by that token, everything that Bush has done in his terms is excused because of Clinton and every other past president's mistakes, oversights and screw-ups.
WHAT THE HELL KIND OF MORONIC MENTALITY IS THAT?
(I hope you're cashing in on this technology since money means much more to you than morals...)
The want to put the tag on the under desirables of society for security and child protection then the want to take them on you. The world bank routing number is 666, the mark of the beast. Accepting the tag will not only mark you as a product or merchandise but that you are owned by the devil and your soul will not be saved by God.

I am interested in "instant on" RFID. Can one be made that lies hidden and dormant until it senses a secret code via radio frequency. That could make recovering stolen goods much easier, even after the goods have already left the supply chain (purchased by the end user, for example).
The assembly code in the chip has a polling loop which listens to a particular byte sequence. At least thats how I programmed such things in the past.
It would be cool to just take stuff out a store and have it charged to your bank. You would need to have real sensitive scanner at the exit though, and your credit card would need to be read too, which you would be carrying.
awesome work =)) good job keep it up!

Yes many worried about RFIDs + privacy

@pjvdixon You can stick anything with an RFID chip in a steel sleeve and it won't read it...

@Smyrk420 Yes u can block RFID wireless barcodes with metal which is why they do not work well on tins of food,

What happens to a RFID tag if it's put in to the microwave and you didn't know it was there, would it still work?
ChrisoneillART 2 years ago
I think a microwave would fry it to bits.

They all work like that - sleeping unless activated by electronic pulse. They have no batteries and pulse wakes them up. Patrick

Couldn't a frequency jammer disrupt the RFID chip?
Voidka 3 years ago
Depends. You would need a detection method in store to prevent their use.
Nkatsikanis 3 years ago
You can jam the frequency RFIDs use and also intercept the transmissions if you are close enough and have the right code. Patrick Dixon

With all this extra data from RFID its going to be interesting to see how its mined. I guess the data won't be to complex initially.
