really? where are all the Africans? I think that's deplorable... even though I loved this as a kid... and still find it entertaining. I've watched about 10 episodes so far and haven't seen one African... lol... speaks of the times!
not at all... but as a child I wasn't aware that there were no Africans in this cartoon. I think it's sad. I think most of what we call entertainment today is sad, too. Tarzan's cool... just a scad prejudicial.
Indeed, the only blacks on Saturday morning cartoons were Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids and, for a couple of years, the Jackson Five cartoon. I don't think showing blacks in the jungle (particularly as Burroughs portrayed them) along with blacks in the ghetto (Fat Albert) would have played well. So no blacks in Tarzan. I wish Tarzan could have met Fat Albert though. :-) That would have been a crossover for the ages.
@bodhisattva99 in wish one you see a black man ??? because i see almost all of then and so far i seen no black men in any one, i never realized about that when i was a kid
@PRLIBRENOWMAGNUS that's what I was saying. there are none. In some other cartoons... ok... yeah maybe you could explain why not... but it's supposed to be AFRICA!!! And no Africans!!! Suspicious.
Another gem here, thank you for posting all of these. And I love that you have the intro included. Strange, but besides Tarzan's call the main thing I remembered from this show was the narration during the intro.
Tarzan meets Fat Elbert. Fit meets Fat. One for the ages.

If you pause the video at 3:46, the picture kind of looks like she's trying to get her stuck truck out of the mud.

@JohannaGotTalent41 In the 1st book, Tarzan was taught French and English by a Frenchman named Jean-Paul.

It's unfortunate that they don't make cartoons like this anymore. Kids today are missing out.

better that this one?

If I recall, in the episode with Jane and her father, Tarzan gives a fuller version of the story from the intro.

Amongst its qualities Tarzan
is a very positive cartoon.
You watch something like this with morals
and teachings of helping your enemies
on an almost biblical idealism.
In contrast todays kids get "Rugrats"
and other nasties which set out the opposite
example, is it any wonder a lot of the kidsare seriously maligned.

Hi. Let me ask your opinion too. Do you like for next episodes to start without intro or with intro? Let me know
thanks

Hi hex.
With all respect i dont think anyone minds
too much.
However if its advantageous too you and saves you time then fine although "personally" i like the intro.
Im going to temporarily disable my message
