A couple of decades ago, black men did the yard work in the neighbohoods. They did good work. They used brooms and rakes. They picked up the weeds and clippings. Now the Mexicans use blowers that disperse the weeds, weed seedlings, and grass clippings. The cut weeds get started in other peoples yards. They rarely use a rake or broom. They rarely fill a sack with clippings. The clippings get blown into the drains and ditches when they get wet and settle on the bottom. Clogging the drains.
These new graphics are so incredibly dated looking that they heavily resemble the old, defunct Houston KNWS Channel 51 News logo and graphics from the early 90's!! It's a shame because IMO, 11 always had a very classy feel to it, now it feels and looks more degraded than KTRK! I don't watch much TV news anymore but when I do, I have noticed over the years that I have been steadily switching away from KHOU over to KPRC instead.
Is KHOU using the new Belo ending graphic yet? WVEC started using it recently, and it looks similar in style and animation to these graphics. I'm uploading it soon.
Looks like an in-house job to me. Way too little going on in terms of shading and "active" graphics elements to be an outside job. Just a simple Cinema 4D star element and stock Optical Flare element just hanging around in everything.
@hookem2003 yeah, true that. But I'm just glad they kept Propulsion. IMHO, nothing could ever hold a candle to Evolution, and I don't think anything ever will. But Propulsion RAWKS nonetheless.
Just out of curiousity >> Do we know if GO or Hothaus created these? Or was it an in-house job?

I wonder if KHOU did this because KPRC was creeping up again?

@bhratbrat Who knows. KPRC released new graphics last week as well. I will try to record a KPRC newscast sometime soon.
