If we return to our respective religious roots, we will elevate ourselves as a whole and become more elevated and pious individuals. That is what society is starving for: strong female characters that are NOT defined by their promiscuity.
I really like the beginning of it when the author mentions input she received from others. Sounds like it really helped shape her story, and it really underscores how important it is to gather edits & feedback from an outside perspective when completing any published work.
Love the book but I think the end rips of Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon.

GREAT interview!
