Good description! We saw it during the Chicago part of it's tour. We kept leaving to check out the rest of the exhibits, but getting drawn back in this room. Finally we gave up, sat down on the floor, and watched it for almost 2 hours - felt like 10 minutes. So awesome!

this version of "wicked game" by chris isaak is indeed a cover version of pipilotti rist herself (or her band "les reines prochaines", i'm not sure) called "Opfer dieses Liedes (Wicked Game)". it was published on the cd "we can't" that belonged to her book "himalaya" and was published in 1998. i think it is out of print, but you might still get it somewhere. the whole cd and the book are wonderful too!
