I can't say that Jack White is the greatest, or anywhere near being the greatest guitarist in terms of skill, but he's by far got the most dignity. He turned down Slash for his own album, because Slash asked him to help out. Jack said he'd play guitar for him, but he wouldn't sing, which is cool in my opinion, because if someone does that they're getting more popularity that they aren't really earning themself, seeing as how they aren't the vocalist.

Not to be a douche or anything, but what do people see in his guitar playing? Im pretty wide and open to different styles, but im stumped on this one.

Sure theres soul in it, but what he's doing is some averange pentatonic blues solo, which im sure MANY people can do. Whats with all the hype over this guy? Or are the majority of the fans sheep who follow a crowd?

Mr White has some blues blood dripping from his wrist, he just pours out the blues when he sings/plays guitar, the guitar even cries out for Jack everytime he plays one, we are blessed to have Jack in this generation and for you guys who think John Mayer is better: your obviously blind, John Mayer has nothing on Jack white!!!

you can tell this is a custom build, look how thick his guitar is.
