I got the same problem! blank screen yet still can be used. I think its the main pcb thats faulty. Cos I taken it apart and to see this ' strip' connecting both slide parts has tear. So just have to replace that thing and the screen will work fine

IS THE BATTERY RED ON TOP?? IS IT?? my w910i fell on a poll today.. and the battery has something red, and when i connect the phone to the recharge one of the buttons turns red.. i tried to put it on rice and at the sun, hope it works..
@Starwarior7 Yes, the battery is red; it's so when/if you send your phone back to sony saying "it just stopped working" they know that you dropped it in water. There's one on the phone where the battery goes too.
You should take apart the phone and dry it if possible, even after like 5 days I found moisture inside it..
u have to take your phone to service center to repair it .... and because u already know that is screen problem , so u do a remark for the service center ... this will let the maintainence more faster and correct
dont worry. Go to ebay and search for w910 lcd. Most ebay seller sells them and include a open tool also. Lucky you. Mine G900 also fell in a water in a car accident. The Sim try is not working and LCD backlight is not working also.
I had the same, fixed it by replacing the screen, cost me around 20 euros.

I have sony ericsson w910i from February 2009 and it have fallen it in milk,wine and I washed it with water but work very good without problem!:D

@vodafone810live Milk & Wine doesn't conduct electricity aswell as salt water, which is probably why yours is fine.

thats exactly what happpens to mine!
then i got a new LCD screen ,fitted it then turned it on. it worked for about 2 mins then went completly black and did the same as before!!
does any one know what i should do???
