I have been telling people for years my dog is not a pit. I got mine from a guy from south america I believe from a similar bloodline. He looks like the one from 2:01 to 2:05 with the ears cropped. He is not agressive towards other dogs.  He saved my life from a gun toting attacker,a bear,and counless bugs Absolute family dog. Nice enough to play with kids and ready to do buisness against those that would harm their family. Mine was neutered by an x girlfriend where can I get another dogo.

The REAL Dogo Argentino was well-known as one of the most ferocious, people aggressive big game hunters ever. Cane` Corso was used to guard farms. Not defend, as a flock guardian would, they were bred to be hardcore guardian stock mastiffs, not family companions. And were bred to do none of the farmhand activities (hog catching, cattle catching, herding) that would require them to be a social breed.

A dogo is a nice dog until its pissed off and you dont want to be around when its angry. One time i took my dogo on a walk down the street without the leash, then one of those fitting pittbull dogs escape from someones back yard to come and try to attack me, i jump on a car, that dog was growling and slobbering trying to get me. (my dogo had a hearing disorder)but when my dogo seen that bitch, all hell broke loose. He locked over that dogs whole mouth and almost kill it.

the cane corso is a bread fighting dog, while the dogo is a hunting dog. i think the dogo is more agile and endurant, but the cane more powerful.

The Cane Corso was never raised to fight either other dogs as you suggest.

Traditionally they were guard dogs, cattle herds and big game hunters.

I have never encountered any account suggesting their use in dog-fighting, nor have I ever encountered any problems with dog-agression in the breed.

I have always found them to be a very loyal and easily trained dog, gentle with the family but fearless with intruders.

Why Italian bread needs to be fought is anyone's guess.

I think the Corso was mainly used to fight the Ciabatta, the so-called 'gladiator' of breads, rather than the domestic sliced wholemeal, so must homes are relatively safe.

It should be mentioned that some 400 loaves were attacked by Corsi last year.
