  • Dingoes are mainly scavengers, not hunters, especially on Fraser Island where there is no large prey. They are shot, last animal was at Easter., probably better than the cruel and extremely painful injections given by inexperienced rangers. Attacks have all been provoked, in some instances people throwing stones or leaving bait buckets within reach of the animals. No local or resident has ever been bitten as they know how to act appropriately..these are the facts..

  • Lots of wrong information here. They do not just scavenge, they are clever and skillful hunters. Ear tags are used to assist in the accurate identification of individual animals responsible for unprovoked attacks on humans. Animals are not shot, just for "hassling" people, oh, and feral horses, a great natural food source for dingos. Were they there for 1000's of years too!! It's sad to see Bob talking through his arse. I guess he's just another one of those so many "experts" out there.
