  • System Specs:

    Dual Core 2.4ghz E2140

    4gb DDR2 Ram

    Sapphire HD Radeon 4830 512mb

    DirectX 11

All settings on High - Very High with no AA.

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit OS.

    1440x900 Resolution.

What fps could you imagine on average with this system?

  • Comment removed

  • do you need dx10 to set it to very high?

  • very high its better you can see the sun rays:)

  • I ran a benchmark today.... For this game on my gtx 560 ti (fermi)...... Forgot to record it but with 16-Q antialiasing.... 32 fps. Lowest antialiasing is 50 to 85 fps 8D Check out my vids with my computer and feel free to make fun of my voice! Very high settings

  • my 6970 direct cu2 runs crysis silky smooth on very high, awesome card i love it

  • @Budweed1989 Cool story bro.

  • @Budweed1989 What resolution?

  • @Malifall 1920:1080p everything maxed

  • you have somthing seriously wrong with that card if it idles at 78'C. i have a 4850 HD by ASUS and it idles at 40-50'C and only reaches 69'C Under MAX load.

  • @SASenglish yours has a 3rd party cooler though!

  • @djdynamite123 no it dont, it has a stock cooler the one built onto it by the manufacturer ASUS

  • @SASenglish ye asus hav some really nice coolin i've got a hd 5850 by asus it idles 37c and even on load it only goes 50c do u hav the DirectCU version?

  • @ThatGuyInAmerica My two 5770s (equal to a single 5770) can run Crysis @ 1920x1080; Very High with 4xAA at around 35FPS average.

Then again, Xigmatek's FX2 mod is beautiful, yet it brought it to it's knees, averaging 15FPS (a rough guess).

  • I wish i had this game~ damn~ look at that~

  • me on ATI HD 4850

    and I5 i

4GB RAM 1066MHZ i have on AA OFF and 1280x1024 on High 90-100 FPS

  • Hey so if I had this card 48501gb 2gb of RAM and a amd athlon 2 x3 RANA 455 could I do the same as you and record decent?

  • @Aquahorseify Have at least 3GB of RAM.

Realistically nowadays in gaming, I've found that you have to have no less than 4GB, yet no more than 4GB (games generally ask for around 2.2GB + Windows around 1.2GB with extra processes - for me at least).

You might do it with a 4850 at 1280x1024 (maximum). Try it at 1280x720 (a.k.a. 720progressive) and you might average 30FPS (with no AA).

  • Is this card better then Gigabyte GTS450 1gb?Nice video!:DDD

  • @djaism LOL, didn't look at when the date it was uploaded smart ass :D

  • @djaism similar performance. about 1-2fps difference im guessing.

  • @djaism

GTS 450 is bit faster, maybe 10/15%.

HD 4850 is pretty good card, too.

  • @musicman3x So you're telling me that the GPU calculates physics and processes game effects? Such as the movement in every leaf, particle, physics, and effects? In Cryengine, the GPU renders ONLY graphics. It DOES NOT calculate physics and the environment. It is done on the CPU and how fast it can access the system RAM. If Crysis were better optimized, the RADEON HD 3870 and GeForce 8800GTX can run it no problem since Crysis was released during that time. I'd think before I talk if I were you.

  • Comment removed

  • why are the 4850's so cheap now? should i get one?

  • Watch my video about ATI Radeon HD 5850 Gameplay, I show 6 games on maxed settings /watch?v=hIfc2JRhrZ8

  • somethings gotta be wrong with your card.I got a sapphire hd4850,the highest ive ever seen it get is 54c when im playing Crysis on ultra everything.

  • And one more thing. HD 4850 can take up to 80 celsius i think, because i play overclocked with 75 celsius

  • Still it hasn't been on very high fully. Object detail was on high, you needed to restart the game to apply object detail. Its vision distance, and it eats your computer pretty good. Check my Crysis videos, they have about 20 views :D

    I have HD 4850 too :)

  • omfg 78 degress at IDLE?!?!?! :O

  • Crysis is a poorly optimized game. Metro 2033 comes in a close second. But Crysis Warhead was optimized a lot better than Crysis. This game will bring any system to it's knees.

  • 180 euros of graphic cards 50-60 fps maxed out 8 aa 1600x900

  • A $650 dollar system would run crysis at very high in 1080p. 35FPS+ average no problem, especially if you OC.

  • @fatfatr My pc did cost 1300 dollars here in Norway. it cant run at avg 30 fps on high.

  • freakin nubs you cant play with dx 11 in a dx 10 game!

  • Crysis is so poorly optimized. Even most of today's highest-end PC's still have trouble running the game at 1080p with maximum quality while trying to obtain a solid 60FPS. And there are always lag spikes at certain parts. It's just as poorly optimized as the Sims.

  • @vangstaz well in all honesty aslong as a game runs above 25 FPS then i couldn't care less cause my eyes can't notice the difference between 25 and 60

  • @Jellic4t No I'm talking about lag spikes. Do you know what that is? Is when the game freezes for about a second just trying to load the environment around it.

  • @vangstaz I've found thats more or less down to your RAM, I remember years ago i had a smooth game (But lag spikey, and a quick upgrade got rid of it) Would've thought the VRAM handled that but seems not fully the case

  • @vangstaz you're an idiot, ever heard of an HD 5870 or a GTX 480!? those are the high end graphics cards atm, and they get an avarige of 40fps @ 1080p x16Q so the HIGHEST end pc would be tripple cf or 3way sli and that adds another 30fps per gpu... you do the math.

  • @Khomitsar High end graphics cards, low end graphics cards, who the hell cares? The graphics card just renders graphics. It does not process the environment and calculate physics. It's not the graphics card's fault that's why the game spikes, but how poorly the game communicates with the CPU and RAM.

Crysis was released in 2007 during the time of the GeForce 8000 and the RADEON HD 3000 series graphics cards. The game would have ran extremely well with them if the game was optimized correctly.

  • @Khomitsar By the way, I can tell if a game is lagging due to the graphics card or CPU. For Crysis, the lag spikes are caused by the game failing to communicate to the CPU in time to send the data to the GPU.

  • @vangstaz no your pc just sucks haha

  • @pokealong1227 Just by the way you type, I can see that you're just another ignorant and retarded moron who doesn't know shit about computers. Go back to playing your guitar until you find something relevant to say that is actually worth listening to.

  • @vangstaz can u believe that the predicted, that means a bit higher than what they really are, recommended system req for the Crysis 2 are just like the first game's :D

  • @vangstaz get a gtx 260 896 mb by MSI... only cost 160 bucks, now u will be able

  • @vangstaz True, The demo was even worse man.

  • @vangstaz true

  • @vangstaz just like black ops

  • @vangstaz

    yeah,even quad-SLI GTX480 withi7 980x can't run that shit at 100+ FPS on ultra.

  • @hateWinVista the 580 might beable to..or the 5970..from ati..2 cards in crossfire in quad crossfire..2 gpus per card

  • @POPCORN454545

The highest FPS on Crysis I had seen is 98,on Quad SLI 580s.

Maxishine had made one video to compare them.

"EVGA GTX 580 QUAD SLI vs TRI SLI Crysis 2560x1600",from 1:50~1:51 [98] FPS.

  • @hateWinVista hmmm...yeah lol

  • @vangstaz It doesn't run well because it uses hardcore rendering techniques.

  • o Object quality continuo no High shsuhsushus

  • That's... not a good temp for that card at all...

  • how many gb ram did u have ?

  • HD 4850 1GB, Phenom x4 processor = No lag at all. <3

  • How come when i play on high or very high, all the vegitation looks fuzzy and jagged?

  • i cant find any comparison vids but whats better the 4850 or 5670? I know the 5670 has dx11 but I am building am trying to find the perfect video card to upgrade my athlon II X2, 3gb ddr3, 550w computer.

  • @megamindstorm101 I'd also like to know the answer to this, From what i've read the 4850 seems to be just that bit better, but the 5670 has DX11 + no 6 pin connector etc

  • @Jellic4t Omg lol. i have a 4850 (1gb) and i can run it on DX11 and support it.

  • @LillHenk yes you can play it on dx11 but it dosnt support it HD 4850 supports DirectX 10.1

  • @Jellic4t that sounds roughly correct. i would expect the 4850 to run about 5-10% faster though

  • @megamindstorm101 get a 5770

  • @thespartenkid doesnt fit thats why I am looking at some of the lower cards. and I know they sell single slot 5770 but the brands I want dont sell single slot cards. SO I have to go for a 5670 or something similar.

but I think I found oout what to use becasue I can get a 3850 from my bro for 13$ so I figured why not this computer is only temporary until I get my gaming computer.

  • I have the HD 5750 1024mb....crysis should run well on it with VERY HIGH?

  • haha 15 - 20 fps xD

  • The very high is heavier than high? Has options which I put to very high and not weigh more.

  • This is modded crysis, and this mod sucks.

  • what graphics mod are you running?

  • I have this card and all my games run smooth except in some i have stutter. what i mean is it just randomly pauses for a sec, and then continues run just fine. it does this frequently enought to be annoying, anyone know the problem? running @ 1366x768p using catalyst 10.3, windows 7 32 bit

    My specs: core 2 duo e7400 @ 2.8ghz

    2gb ram 800hmz (1 stick)

    550w psu coolermaster fusion 3

  • @tangypasta Try another 2gb ram, 64 bit windows 7, or a little overclock in CPU to atleast 3.2GHz

  • You`ve got a very great graphic card there! xD

  • fps?¿

  • Hey i have a -

    Intel 2 Quad Q8300 2.55GHZ

    Ati Radeon 4650

    8GB GD3 Ram

... What settings could i play if I bought the Radeon 4850 ?

  • sos mas pelotudo para jugar... dios le da pan a l aque no tiene dientes

  • how well i get crysis on medium settings with my dell laptop with:

    intel core 2 duo @ 2.00 GHz

    3 GB ram

    GeForce 8400M GS

  • @drazillord you can play it...on low or maybe medium.

  • the objekt quality is only at high...

  • can i play crysis with this?

    Pentium(R) E5200 2.5 GHZ

    4Gigs RAM

    9500GT DDR2

running all on a 19inch screen?

  • canyourunit-DOT-com

    ;]

  • don't listen to the others.. turn your shaders to medium and you'll have a blast.

I can play it with an old-ass socket 939 AMD X2 and an 8800GTS on very high. so you'll be fine.

  • @kevinsupra90 Actually...the 8800gts is better than the 9500gt lol. just because its part of the higher series doesnt mean anything. The 8800gts is a ddr3 card. If its the 640 mb version you have a 320 bit inferface, and it will absolutely stomp the 9500.

And the fact that you stated you have a 939 system isnt really important. I play on a 939 too, with a 5750. I can only play on high at a playable framerate.

  • Yes you can, but on very low

  • i stopped worrying about whether games can max or not after i got the hd 4850. Now im hoping to get 5850 or another 4850 to crossfire so I can buy a big 24 inch monitor :)

  • i want a gaming laptop that could run this on very high graphics and wont lag a bit =(

  • thats gonna cost you about $1500...... minimum

  • @buddysmithburg $1500 minimum? a $800-$1000 could run this

  • you are idling at 78 degrees? Celsius???

  • amd 3800+ sempron? (single core)?

  • @YYuMax Yep :)

  • I dunno...60 degrees Celsius while playing Crysis on 1440x1050 resolution, 2x AA, and on 'Gamer' settings seems to be decent for the single-slot, stock design heatsink/cooling. I can clock it up to 700/1060 and its around 60-65 degrees (full load).

  • I don't know why people's 4850 is like so warm. I have the stock design and it idles at about 45 degress with fan speed @ 40%, and doesn't go higher than 60 degress with crysis running... I OC mine to 660/1025 (for a small boost) too so...

  • my frend have 4gb ram and crysis uses only like 60% of it...

  • i don't know why, but i got 4850 512MB, AMD 8450 and 4GB RAm, but the game runs slow a little bit...why?:(

  • @reeceTHEmelter123 My graphics card is a ATI Raedon HD 4850 and ive just got up to 2gb of ram now

  • still runs big games

    love this card

  • I got the dual slot HD 4850. Mine has PHYSIX! i didnt believe it but really! Dual slot edition with fan on Max i got 44° on idle and 60 under max load.

Chrysis on 1920x1920 very high and high with physic on very high i get around 20 fps

  • is ur cpu or gpu temp that reach 82 degree C...and how come ur cpu play smoothly on that cpu with fraps....

  • would i run this on ultra high with no AA ? and how about with AA x4 ?? AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition quad 3.2ghz Foxconn 6100M61-PMV (6x USB2.0, Onboard GeForce video) 4GB DDR2 800mhz (2x 2GB) 500GB S-ATAII hdd ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB

    win 7 64bit

  • Emm, Can someone tell me what games I could go up to with a

    - Intel(R) Celeron(R) D CPU 3.20GHz

    - 1.5gb of ram

    - ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series

    - Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3

If you could tell me i would be appreciative and my powersupply is 500W

  • add 3gb ram, and you should be ok to play games even if not at hgh settings.

  • Can i max out this game when i get 4gb of ram and windows 7 my specs now realy soon i get those upgrades

    HD4850 1gb

    AMD phenom 2,31ghz 4x

    860gb harddrive

    1gb of ram

    win xp

running now at high and 8xaa with no probs so can i maz this game out when i get those upgrades plz tell me!

  • Man this game is fun as hell!

But kinda difficult, im not much of a stealth person, i came here to kill things!

I can play at High settings with:

    nVidia GT 9800 1GB

    3GB RAM

    AMD 64 X2 Duel core processor +4600

...Cant they make a video card that uses a diffrent method of rendering? Like instead of processing everything, have the game run as background, and rapidly take pictures of the game at chosen framerate. Then display images on Monitor.

I Would continue but i only have around 1 letter.

  • What the FUCK is with everyone using a shitty dual-core. You won't even get on Very High unless its well over 3.5 GHZ

  • thats so untrue

  • u could depending on the resolution : D

  • @Legend4271 lawl i have a duel core 3.0ghz and this card single slot and i run the game on near max settings with 40 fames a sec at g card bein core clocked. you not very smart when it comes to comps. you must be the type of person that spends 1k to buy a comp and then yells at everything that isnt as good as his specs lol

  • @FreakyBrosFilms

My comp fucked up because the motherboard couldn't handdle the 'Stress' the power supply was giving her. My Dual-core was too 3.0 Ghz and it lagged like a motherfucker, unless I run alt of programs in the background.

  • @bati555

can i play it on high??

    - AMD AthlonII X2 250 (2 x 3.0Ghz),

    - 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400 (800Mhz) DDR2

    - Club3D ATI 4850 PCI-E 1GB GDDR3

  • oh yeah

  • @lovesshann1

Hell yeah if i can paly this game on high and 8xaa with my system

  • good video card

  • Hello.

can i play crysis, modernwarfare 2 on very high settings with this:

    - AMD AthlonII X2 250 (2 x 3.0Ghz),

    - 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400 (800Mhz) DDR2

    - Club3D ATI 4850 PCI-E 1GB GDDR3

  • you're an idiot.

  • I have all settings pumped to top, my screen resolution at 1152 x 864.. x8 AA and full enthusiast (highest) and i get about 25-30 fps in all areas on Crysis

    my spec:

    ASRock G31M-S R2.0 Motherboard

Intel Pentium 3.2Ghz Dual Core, 2GB RAM

ATI Radeon HD4850 1GB (CiC 700Watt Power Supply)

all in a Silver HP Pavilion Case (looks good enough)

    Windows XP Media Center SP2

  • you definetly need better CPU and maybe additional 2GB memory if you want to.

  • sure but on bottlerneck ?

  • Very High actually looks a lot better in my opinion.

    = )

  • wtf this recording kind of sucks....that shit is not full hd...

  • is the GTX 260m equivalent to this graphics card

  • um, its equal to an 9800gt if your talking about the laptop version. If its the desktop, 260gtx will beat this.

  • is it 4xaa?

  • hello my friend I need your help:

do you think I can play all newest games with good framerate with:

    AMD Athlon II X2 240

    3 GB DDR2 800MHz RAM

and this card with 512 MB (1900 MHz )

    please reply :)

    thanx in advance

  • no your memory and CPU is going to bottleneck the performance.

  • i think it goes but i thin its better when you have 4gb Ram

  • AMD PHENOM X3 720,MBD GYGABITE MA770-UD3,POWER COLOR ATI RADEON HD 4850 512MB DDR3.MEM 2X2GB KINGSTON CL6,HDD 640 GB WD BLUE CAVIAR SATA.This is my comp is it good?but sometimes crysis lags,is this because the comp or game?

  • @ virusspoon

Its your computer dude. The game is to good for your computer :p

  • No its not lame DUDE i can play it on very high it wont lag i fixed it...stop helping others..

  • I need to know soon whether or not i can run at very high

    CPU:Intel Pentium---2.8 ghz

    Ram: 2gb

    Video Card:Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 1gb ddr3(getting this for x-mas)

    Resolution:1028x768

and what power supply should i have? i think i have 450-500ish psu(i think thats what it is)

    plz respond SOON!!!!

  • You will not be able to run this game on very high...sorry.

  • How well does this card run with an AMD Athlon quad core at 1650x1050?

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS

    Video RAM: 552.0 MB

Can i hold it on very high?

  • nope

  • Wonder how games will look like in 10 years !

  • Like reality :)

  • sh*t ,I cannot wait !

  • 2012 :D

  • @canibale the same?

  • @canibale there is one coming out now CRYSIS 2

  • I play on Very High at 1024x768. Minimum 17 FPS (rarely VERY RARELY) Average 26 FPS and maximum 40 FPS.

  • I guess your processor will make you probelms. You need more than 2 GHz to make it run smooth on high. The rest is ok I think

  • I have an ATI Radeon HD 4850 1 GB, I bought it last week. I had a 8600GT 512 MB and changed the HD 4850 1 GB. I play on High at 30 FPS is good? My processor is a Phenom X4 9550, if my processor was a little better, I might be able to play on Very High? Only a doubt.

  • 30 Fraps is totally ok. 24 fraps is the minimum because if you have 24 pictures per second you have a movie. so its smoth. if its under 24 frames its laggy. this is like a movie(or a game works)

  • Hm, and if I buy a new CPU like Phenom II CPUs, working with my ASUS M4A78, it will increase FPS like 60 FPS? I will be able to play on Very High with 24 FPS or more with a Phenom II CPU like 955? For me High is very good, its just a doubt.

  • I am not a professional. Unfortunally I dont know it

  • Well, I discovered that I can play it on Very High Settings (All on Very High) on 1024x768, my lower frame-rate was 17 and it is rarely, I stay 26 ~ 35 FPS good? Have any problem play Crysis in a resolution that is lower than my monitor?

  • 26-35 fraps is good.

  • Hi i want to buy a new card but i don't know wich one is better...

    HD 4850 1gb or HD 4870 512mb????????

    Processor: Phenom 2 X3 720

    Resolution: 1680x1050

Please Help me(sry for bad english)

  • im going for the 4870 512 mb.... or theres a 1 GB version of it as well... just gotta go hardware hunting... like me, i dont have mine yet, i have a 4670 rite now, im waiting to upgrade to a new board processor and ram first.

  • 1 GB sure and for high resolutions like your 1 GB or the gaming will be slower. For High resolutions1 GB, but I have a monitor with resolution 1280x1024 and I bought a HD 4850 1 GB, 1 GB is better.

  • ur making no sense 0.0 all i see is 1gb and no comparison

  • For High resolutions like 1680x1050 512 MB sucks because High resolutions requires more GPU power, so the GPU needs more memory. I bought a HD 4850 1 GB, because if I change my monitor I already have my HD 4850 with 1 GB and in tests of Internet that I saw, I saw that HD 4850 1 GB wins than 512 MB.

  • ?? so much for shipping?

    mine cost around 600€...

  • dude that card is getting hot (unless your talking about farentheight) my MSI R4850 OC edition gets to 56 celsius MAX on crysis i get 48 - 54 FPS

and straight after 3 hours of playing it like 54 - 56 celsius isdle is 45 celsius

  • nice i ordered mine with

    AMD Phenom II X4 945 95W 3.0GHz

    4GB ddr3 Ram

    MSI ATI R4850 1024MB

    nealry the same :P

how much did it cost for you?

  • can i play in very high

    triple core of 2.6ghz

    6 gig ram.

    this card

  • Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

  • cAN I PLAY CRYSIS IN VERY HIGH?

    ATI HD 4850

    INTEL CORE 2 DUO

    5 GB RAM

  • se esta cagando tu maquina.

  • just run it on medium/high settings, no AA at high res :)

  • it will run smoothly on max settings(1280x1024)

  • woow this game is awesome!!

    now i will buy.
