Playing video games is fun, but I don't want to for 12+ hours a day. They are very competitive and if competitive fishing/golfing is a sport so is gaming on a professional level. It's a profession, just as much as football is. It maybe is strange to you and others, but I think that it's much stranger to get paid for punching people.

You try doing 400-600 things per minute while thinking of what you're going to be doing in 1 minute and how that will effect every aspect of your game.
These people that do this are intelligent, often leaving high paying jobs to pursue something they love, rather than something that they dont.

I'm pretty sure if most of us dropped out of our universities, and focused on gaming, I think we'd have a crap-load of "professional" gamers.
I mean, fuck, maybe I should just drop my focus on electrical engineering (EE), and just play SC2 / any game that will make me a lot of money, and live like that. C'mon, playing from 11 AM - 2 AM for seven days a week? That sounds a lot better than attending classes and studying.

Starcraft is the only game that I think intelligence can make a difference.
Playing video games is fun, but I don't want to for 12+ hours a day. They are very competitive and if competitive fishing/golfing is a sport so is gaming on a professional level. No it's not hard physically, but there is a reason that only a few gamers get payed (has something to do with entertainment and skill)
