Hardest level, but easily one of the most significant. That art and design of this level is unlike anything Bungie has ever done. The agony between Cortana and the Gravemind and the emotion shared between the Chief and Cortana is extremely expressive and compelling. This is about Chief keeping a promise to Cortana. Her quote at their reunion "keep your head down" just screams reference to Halo 1. A lot of simpletons think this level sucks but it's actually the best and has a lot of meaning.

i'm playing it on legendary and they come in swarms but get a brute shot or a shotgun and a sword and DO NOT charge at them try to stay back an coeme out only to kill like one, then go back into hiding

To make sure you never get lost, go towards the sounds of enemies. To make sure you aren't overwhelmed by numbers, Attempt to get them to fight you one on one. save your grenades, and don't let them get too close.

its very complex, so I'll try my best.

so, humans and this alien race called the covenant are at war, and have been for about 20 years. there is also this infection called the flood, which hasen't been disturbed for over 100,000 years, until the covenant unearthed them., and the only way to stop them is to light the halo rings, which the covenant believe will take them on a subliminal "great journey" and there religious leader the prophet of truth is lieing to them about the rings. the arbiter

failed to stop the humans from destroying the holy halo (lol) whcih they then believed was like a giant death machine. cortana wanted to stop the second ring which they found, and so stayed behind on the soon to be infected covenant ship, high charity, for she didn't want to risk a remote detonation. the humans then realised the only way to stop the flood was to light the ring which was in earths vicinity, so they needed to get cortana from high charity to get the halo activation codes. keyes

and sergeant major johnson are like the little side important characters who don't do much but help the chief sometimes. they do a premature firing of the rings, which the oracle, safeguarder of the rings doesn't like so he kills johnson. chief destroys oracle, arbiter kills prophet of truth, prophet of truth kills miranda keyes, covenant species kill marines and people, and yeah. arbiter makes it back to earth but the chief and cortana don't, and are now drifting in space :(

I played this in Heroic when i first played the game and is harder than what you see on this video. The flood will be all over you. Just like in legendary. I recomend to play it in co op so it would be funner.

i cannot beat this level i guess it would be easier co-op but the flood just keeps coming and coming and coming your try to run but then you get hit in the back you run out of ammo and you have to melee to survive you find a gun they have and it has like one clip in it your scavaging for ammo every second eventually you must use one of the swords you see scattered around the map but getting that close youll just get swarmed and killed hardest level ever that ive had

I don't understand why people use the shotgun. Pick up a brute shot, it kills the flood in one shot or in one melee attack. Much easier this way.
