this makes me seriosly want a delorean so bad when i first heard about back to the future i thourt it was the kind of film that should not be made but after i saw it i was totaly amazed
The best!!! what a great band, good combination of instruments, nice for hear, i love this song alot!! and the movie... Back to the future!!! i wanna the Delorean and be there in that concert!!!! lol
Yhea.....always loved Huey....and worked on this movie at First Take Productions with my good friend Al and the DeLorean's sitting with us two!!.....great times!!!
Wow! Awesome to see this. The "Power of Love" was a good song but I always felt it was overplayed & that it could've easily come off of the Sports album rather than the BTTF soundtrack. I always preferred this track cuz it has an amazing intro, lots of energy, a great melody & it fits the theme of the movie much better.
@Furbleumstrum If you were around in the 1980s, you would have seen that they were pretty huge back in the 1980s. They were popular before Back to the Future, with a number of their videos played regularly on MTV. And their later performances on the soundtrack and in the movie only made them bigger.
Mmmm yeah. Huey's a babe. My dad is a BTTF nut. He has models of all versions of the DeLorean and always cranks up the radio when this song or "The Power Of Love" plays. Is this show available on DVD? I'd love to get it for him.
Man I miss these guys. Saw them twice and they never failed to entertain. Definately when the Tower of Power toured with them they were the tightest. This is one of my favorite songs... get back Marty. Thanks for posting this.
Bill Gibson is absolutely killer on the end of this ... what a great underated drummer !!! ... Nothing really technically difficult but played with such attitude and taste
Kind of hard to beat the Tower Of Power horn section ... lol ... I saw them on tour with HLATNews in 87 on the FORE tour and that concert was a goosebumpfest from start to finish and I was so glad they played this tune !!!
can anybody get a copy of this concert. i think it was filmed in oakland california somewhere around 1986. i would lve to have the whoel concert to watch
I'm afraid you're just too darn loud...

I wasn`t really around in the 80`s much but it seems to me that this band didn`t get the recognition they clearly deserved

That guitarist must be the main influence of Marty McFly :)

It would've sounded better today if he performed it with the Saturday Night Live Band. Just look at how they perform today.

That horn section blows their current horn section right out of the water. The tightness of those ToP horns is incredible.
