  • Thats because the Liverpool music scece was and still is shite.

  • love new order and a lot of the manchester scene over the decades, but wilson has a lot to answer for undermining liverpool's music potential during the same period.

  • it wasnae meant to be about the money it was meant to be about the art between this stiff records and two tone it set a precident that british music hasn't reached ever since no joy division/new order no british club scene period!

  • Tony Wilson passed on "The Smiths" and I always wonder if they would have lasted longer on Factory?

  • Factory ate up all it's most popular bands profits and was hilariously mismanaged, so I doubt it.

  • @AndyUnwritten Slightly wrong there. It was only New Order's and Tony's money which was ploughed into the Hac (as it was jointly owned between TW & NO)which never saw the light of day. If Tony had have signed the smiths and simply red things MAY have been different, but due to Tony's eccentricity he would have probably have blown money somewhere! haha.

  • @iio58 blown it up his fuckin' nose! ha ha

  • ignore that!

  • where's paul morley here?
