I would not watch it as a real story. It is a fictional piece about the idealised love between a father and his son with of Freudian accents. I am sure many people have had a phase when growing up that they found their fathers and mother sexually attractive. I think also to just see the film as a love story of a deep pure love. Has anyone ever speculated if Romeo and Juilette had a good fuck before they committed suicide?

If you think about sexual relationship, as related to sexual excitement, then you are wrong.
What they see, is that their relationship is expressed in a strong emotional a physical bond.
I like this movie because it was created by people who don’t have boxes on their heads.
And although this type of love and attachment seems unrealistic, I was fascinated by it.
A true artistic masterpiece.

I guess that’s the good part in a well made art movie.
