Bro, this is truly a beautiful plane and a great video! I wish more people would do what your doing and put up build videos... it really does motivate me to get a ARF and work on it. The RTF's have made me lazy...lol. But the really nice planes, like the one you have here only come in ARF. Thanks to this video, I might just go out there and get the same plane. A DX6 will work if you use the 7000 RX, the specs are the same 1024 resolution. I have the DX7se, which is 2048 only cause I need it for helo's later on. But spectrum tells you the something on there site. the only way to tell if your getting more thrust is with a flow meter. not really worth the trouble it looks over powered as it is. Nice kit plane they put out some good stuff

Hey flyboy , I think your thrust tube exit is too big. Might need to reduce it by at least 1/2 inch smaller than the fan size. You would get better top end. From there you could tweak it 1/8 of an inch open or close .

just a warning:

the spektrum dx6i is not suitable for anything larger than a parkflyer, as the latency is too great.

they state this in the manual and on the website, so i would reccomend investing in a dx7 before the plane dies on ya.
