Been a Warrant fan since the first started. Lost interest in them after the Dog Eat Dog, I think that was their last good album, then crap. Don't know who this new guy is but he sounds good, and it's good to see the band back together. GO WARRANT, carry on, carry on. They've got their ROCK back!!!

Brian Johnson and Bon Scott sounded nothing alike and AC/DC didn't change their name, so I don't see the point here, same with Van Halen. Not putting Warrant in the same class as those bands of course, but seriously. they are good with Robert Mason.
@ckjedi66 As someone who didn't personally live through change between Johnson and Scott or Hagar and Roth I had to really pay attention to hear the difference between the singers and all the songs just were awesome to me and although this guy is good it's definitely nothing like Jani Lane, but maybe that's just because I lived through the change? who knows

Flew from Seattle to Reno to see the band. Very tight performance! No disrespect to Jani, But Robert brings a new spark to the band. Yes to all Jani fans, he was great, but give Robert some credit!

Reminds me too much of Bon Jovi, but thats probably because Jani Lane isnt in there. I saw them live this summer and Down Boys still kicked as much ass as it shouldve. They still rock hard, but I think theyve matured a bit too much. Its all about rock, right?
Well........I think this is the best album to date! I grew up listing to warrant... i heard cherry pie when i was 6 and yea it was awsome but......jani laine is no longer in the band and well get used to it cause....this guy more than fills his shoes. I hope to hear this abum along with all the nicklback and shinedown and new rock bands. Warrant to me sounds stronger...plays harder....and simply kicks fuckin ass!
this song is disappointing. i find it boring and repetitive. I understand this is a new band, but I also know these guys have grown up and need money. Maybe they aren't in it for the music anymore like when they were kids.
JANI WILL ALWAYS BE WARRANT, I had to go look up who the first lead singer even was and he lasted a year. Then there was Jani and that was when Warrant made it big, then Jani's hiatus there was another singer, and you know the rest> I don't care what you say, Jani made Warrant's name and now they are living off of that. I am cool with them touring as Warrant - they have to pay the bills, and there are people out there who want to hear those old songs - but why crap on your band's legacy by releasing new music which is nowhere near the caliber of the back catalog?

This is a great rock 'n roll band with or without Jani Lane. Robert manson has a great voice and Rockaholic is the best Warrant's album since Dog eat Dog!!!

Jani is and always will be Warrant. He wrote MOST of their songs, not the rest of the band. The band just backed him and played his songs. Without Jani, Warrant is just a cover band.

As much as I loved Jani with Warrant, I embrace the freshness of the band with Robert Mason. He's a great singer and a good fit for the band in my opinion. Warrant was more than just Jani Lane and though he had a great hand in their initial success, sustaining that success proved to be his downfall. It's a sad, tragic situation and I can only hope he finds the peace in death he didn't seem to find in life.

Well let me equate this album to that of the Motley Crue self titled with John Corabi. Even if this album is great in its own right it’s never going to be Warrant without Jani. Just like the Crue wasn’t without Vince. And I love that “Crue” album and Corabi is one of my favorites but it's not the same. I don't care that Erik started the band or Nikki with the Crue, it's just not the same. Mason is a hell of a singer... but there will only ever be one Jani Lane. it's a simple as that.
The band sounds good (clearly in the vein of bands like Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver ) but keeping on calling it Warrant is almost a shame and no matter what a pain in the ass Jani might have been sometimes. He was this way mainly because he was lost and desperate. The Warrant we all knew and loved just has NOTHING in common with this Warrant they're selling us. It's just not fair. It's not like Jani was the blond doll singing who never wrote a damn song. RIP Jani.
Its just terrible news of Jani's passing !! but the fact of the matter is that Erik Turner started this band ( from what i read ) and i guess it would seem kinda like going backwards or starting all over , to rename the group at this point . I do agree with all of you that it just doesn't have the Warrant edge to it with out Jani's vocals & energy !

Good song. Nice video concept; HOWEVER, you really couldn't include one memory, one photograph with Jani in it somewhere? A lot of those memories wouldn't have been possible without him. Good luck on you future endeavors.
LOVED Warrant in my teenage years! Actually....Erik was my fav! Thought he was the best! (Who am I kidding....I still love Warrant...and still love Erik!) But, Jani was the heart and soul of this band. His words thru his songs were more than deep! He was an amazing talent! I've watched the video for "Heaven" about 100 times in the last 2 days! He was amazing...just wish he would've known it!
Diggin' the song, it is nice on the ears first listen through. First thought, it is not the Warrant that I knew, but that is a moot point, without Jani Lane. Still, the song has a good feel, and a powerful chorus, I do like it. I will always love the Warrant with Jani in the lineup, but now, that he is gone, RIP my brother, let us move on and get behind the new music the bands we love and loved are putting out. Only respectful thing to do, and it does sound like some good stuff.

I'm a supporter of Robert! The guy has come in and help bring one of Rock/Metal's greatest bans back. Sure, I won't discredit Jani for the good that he did back in the day, but they obviously couldn't continue with him. This band is one of the reasons that I play music and is a HUGE inspiration to me. I'm so glad to see them back at it and with their classic sound. Some day I hope to meet these guys, especially since Jerry Dixon is one of my biggest bass influences.
The lead singer makes the band... that is what makes any band "unique" to it's name, like Warrant and Jani Lane, Aerosmith and Steven Tyler, Van Halen and David Lee Roth, Scorpions and Klaus Meine, Metallica and James Hetfield, Guns n Roses and Axl Rose... get the picture? People associate hearing a certain voice to the name of the band. Any drummer, guitar or bass player can be replaced at the drop of a hat. Therefore renaming a band after the lead singer has left makes perfect sense!!!

@NESguitarman - You have to look at it like Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. Its a different band, different dynamic and shouldn't be compared to the previous version. It stands on its own. Warrant with Jani was great but the band has to move on. I'm sure if they got a Jani clone and rewrote "Down Boys" people would complain just as much. I like the fact that the band is moving ahead and not trying to live off past glories. Unfortunately they can never go back to Jani now.
Everyones forgetting that Erik writes alot of these songs.And eventhough Jani is not with the band him and Erik have done some really good songs together.And if Jerry and Erik wanted everyones 2 cents on the input of the singer they would've asked.But they didn't they went and found someone who they felt suited the band and this guy was the one. I'm just as big of a Jani Lane fan as anyone, but if they can't get along together then it's best for everyone that they go their seprate ways.

its an okay song, but its pretty hard for this guy to live up to jani lane's vocals, but he actually did pretty good. if a band changes guitarists or bass players they can still do good, but its very tough when the singer leaves and the only band that is still sucessfull after singers change has got to be AC/DC and maybe black sabbath but over all great job!

Jani deserves to be considered as an important part of what Warrant is today (seems that some forgot he wrote almost every song in the first 2 successful records which cemented the band's career).
I'd say Jani WAS Warrant. He wrote also the great albums like Dog eat Dog, Ultraphobic and Belly to Belly. What happened to the band after that twist? They had it all and they fucked it all up. Robert seems ok and all, but without Jani, it's 4 guys that used to be in Warrant and a singer that would not have cut it in 1988. Get back together with Jani guys...the "music" is still good enough, but the vocals.......don't cut it.
Warrant was one of my favorite bands back in the early 90's. I have tried to listen to the stuff without Jani on vocals and can't get in to it. They have had some great lead singers since Jani and it just does not work for me. No offense to the other vocalists, it's just not the same.

Well........I think this is the best album to date! I grew up listing to warrant... i heard cherry pie when i was 6 and yea it was awsome but......jani laine is no longer in the band and well get used to it cause....this guy more than fills his shoes. I hope to hear this abum along with all the nicklback and shinedown and new rock bands. Warrant to me sounds stronger...plays harder....and simply kicks fuckin ass!

this song is disappointing. i find it boring and repetitive. I understand this is a new band, but I also know these guys have grown up and need money. Maybe they aren't in it for the music anymore like when they were kids.

JANI WILL ALWAYS BE WARRANT, I had to go look up who the first lead singer even was and he lasted a year. Then there was Jani and that was when Warrant made it big, then Jani's hiatus there was another singer, and you know the rest> I don't care what you say, Jani made Warrant's name and now they are living off of that. They are a new band, look at all the band members there has been through the band, just crazy. RIP Jani

Jani & Robert are/were both great singers. Warrant existed before Jani & will exist after Robert if they choose. Rockaholic is a great new chapter.

This is a very flacid song.
I am cool with them touring as Warrant - they have to pay the bills, and there are people out there who want to hear those old songs - but why crap on your band's legacy by releasing new music which is nowhere near the caliber of the back catalog?
Not quite as bad as the Jamie St James album,, but not very good either.

This Album is great. Of course it's not like cherry pie or D.R.F.S.R, but thats what warrant is all about... changes... Can anyone listen to Cherry Pie and Belly to Belly and say they are the form the same band?? hard to believe...
This is a great rock 'n roll band with or without Jani Lane. Robert manson has a great voice and Rockaholic is the best Warrant's album since Dog eat Dog!!!

Jani is and always will be Warrant. He wrote MOST of their songs, not the rest of the band. The band just backed him and played his songs. Without Jani, Warrant is just a cover band.

As much as I loved Jani with Warrant, I embrace the freshness of the band with Robert Mason. He's a great singer and a good fit for the band in my opinion. Warrant was more than just Jani Lane and though he had a great hand in their initial success, sustaining that success proved to be his downfall. It's a sad, tragic situation and I can only hope he finds the peace in death he didn't seem to find in life.

Well let me equate this album to that of the Motley Crue self titled with John Corabi. Even if this album is great in its own right it’s never going to be Warrant without Jani. Just like the Crue wasn’t without Vince. And I love that “Crue” album and Corabi is one of my favorites but it's not the same. I don't care that Erik started the band or Nikki with the Crue, it's just not the same. Mason is a hell of a singer... but there will only ever be one Jani Lane. it's a simple as that.

The band sounds good (clearly in the vein of bands like Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver ) but keeping on calling it Warrant is almost a shame and no matter what a pain in the ass Jani might have been sometimes. He was this way mainly because he was lost and desperate. The Warrant we all knew and loved just has NOTHING in common with this Warrant they're selling us. It's just not fair. It's not like Jani was the blond doll singing who never wrote a damn song. RIP Jani.

Its just terrible news of Jani's passing !! but the fact of the matter is that Erik Turner started this band ( from what i read ) and i guess it would seem kinda like going backwards or starting all over , to rename the group at this point . I do agree with all of you that it just doesn't have the Warrant edge to it with out Jani's vocals & energy !
All we can do at this point is continue to play the old Warrant music and love it for what it is ...........KicK Ass rock n roll !!

LOVED Warrant in my teenage years! Actually....Erik was my fav! Thought he was the best! (Who am I kidding....I still love Warrant...and still love Erik!) But, Jani was the heart and soul of this band. His words thru his songs were more than deep! He was an amazing talent! I've watched the video for "Heaven" about 100 times in the last 2 days! He was amazing...just wish he would've known it!

Diggin' the song, it is nice on the ears first listen through. First thought, it is not the Warrant that I knew, but that is a moot point, without Jani Lane. Still, the song has a good feel, and a powerful chorus, I do like it. I will always love the Warrant with Jani in the lineup, but now, that he is gone, RIP my brother, let us move on and get behind the new music the bands we love and loved are putting out. Only respectful thing to do, and it does sound like some good stuff.

I'm a supporter of Robert! The guy has come in and help bring one of Rock/Metal's greatest bans back. Sure, I won't discredit Jani for the good that he did back in the day, but they obviously couldn't continue with him. This band is one of the reasons that I play music and is a HUGE inspiration to me. I'm so glad to see them back at it and with their classic sound. Some day I hope to meet these guys, especially since Jerry Dixon is one of my biggest bass influences.

The lead singer makes the band... that is what makes any band "unique" to it's name, like Warrant and Jani Lane, Aerosmith and Steven Tyler, Van Halen and David Lee Roth, Scorpions and Klaus Meine, Metallica and James Hetfield, Guns n Roses and Axl Rose... get the picture? People associate hearing a certain voice to the name of the band. Any drummer, guitar or bass player can be replaced at the drop of a hat. Therefore renaming a band after the lead singer has left makes perfect sense!!!

@NESguitarman - You have to look at it like Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. Its a different band, different dynamic and shouldn't be compared to the previous version. It stands on its own. Warrant with Jani was great but the band has to move on. I'm sure if they got a Jani clone and rewrote "Down Boys" people would complain just as much. I like the fact that the band is moving ahead and not trying to live off past glories. Unfortunately they can never go back to Jani now.

Everyones forgetting that Erik writes alot of these songs.And eventhough Jani is not with the band him and Erik have done some really good songs together.And if Jerry and Erik wanted everyones 2 cents on the input of the singer they would've asked.But they didn't they went and found someone who they felt suited the band and this guy was the one. I'm just as big of a Jani Lane fan as anyone, but if they can't get along together then it's best for everyone that they go their seprate ways.

its an okay song, but its pretty hard for this guy to live up to jani lane's vocals, but he actually did pretty good. if a band changes guitarists or bass players they can still do good, but its very tough when the singer leaves and the only band that is still sucessfull after singers change has got to be AC/DC and maybe black sabbath but over all great job!

@danielvalderrama : Yeah, Jani Lane is no longer in the band and many of us already know the reasons, but to me he IS and always be Warrant ... Jani deserves to be considered as an important part of what Warrant is today (seems that some forgot he wrote almost every song in the first 2 successful records which cemented the band's career).

Warrant was one of my favorite bands back in the early 90's. I have tried to listen to the stuff without Jani on vocals and can't get in to it. They have had some great lead singers since Jani and it just does not work for me. No offense to the other vocalists, it's just not the same.
