Thanks for posting this video! Just learning how to play. Always been a mystery to me how to know where the keys are on the piano, and you made it very quick and easy to learn!! I was wondering. How does a keyboard, differ from an organ from a piano? Is it just the type of sound they produce?
PIANO LESSONS ONLINE ARE A SCAM! PLEASE VIEW THE TOPIC ABOUT IT ON THE "FORUM" PAGE ON MY WEBSITE! ( I CANNOT POST THE LINK HERE FOR SOME REASON)! MY WEBSITE IS ON MY CHANNEL! It's called free piano sheet music in pdf files, if you want to know! Thanks.
How is it a scam when I spend a lot of time making these videos to teach people how to play for free? Not really getting that. What is a scam is using this space to promote your website, when I produced this content.
good and concise. thank you. the only suggestions is that you may want to turn on some more light and probably raise the volume a bit for those who have weak speakers in their computers.
what was the compostion you started out with called? i want the music sheet for it. i play the violin and with music background it really helps when your trying to play a new instrument and this lesson really helped thanks a lot
that was ridiculously easy it's not even funny haha i've been dying to learn how to play the piano and now i can finally learn from you. your an excellent teacher my friend.
Thanks a bunch for such a great tutorial...I've always wanted to learn how to play the piano, but money has always been an issue. This, however, has solved all of my problems. Thanks again! -hugs-
very good video, you have a great aproach to teaching piano. I am just a beginner but a fast learner, I will be watching all of your videos and subscribing. Thanks for posting these great videos, and keep up the good work!
No of course not - you just have to deal with flats and sharps with black keys - those come later. Some older keyboards had the colors reversed if that is helpful. : )
pretty kewl but für elise is a piece litterly millions can play. Should be possible after 1 year or so although the 2nd part is a bit more difficult but still easy ^^
Well hardly any music teachers know this. But I explain how ABCDEFG were originally defined. Click on my username to find the video. The do re mi system came a hundred years after ABCDEFG. Cheers, john
If you count down from C (before the 2 black keys) you will notice that the piano starts at A. If the piano continued lower than that you would see another pattern of 3 black keys. :) Hope that helps.
Hey, nice video, but kids must wonder why you start with the 3rd letter of the alphabet.
In fact when I show kids my way of teaching the piano keys from A to G, they usually exclaim "Hey, that makes much more sense!"
I have found the historical origin of defining the pitches, and they start with A, logically enough. The story of how this was done is fascinating, and should be more widely known. See my video ...
So far this is the clearest, most concise introduction to piano I have come across on the Net. Only someone confident in his own ability and genuine in his desire to help others, could make a tutorial as understandable as this. Much appreciated.
wow...i finally get to see some thing that i think i might be able to learn. i bought some books & printed some online material but it just get more & more confuse. Thanks i'll watching the next part.
when beginners start learning piano and devlopiing fine motor skills, he/she doesn't need to THINK where he should look for a key, but he/she ought to SEE each key. This is why when we drive cars, we deal with street signes. Nobody make us to memorize order of streets.
It was very basic, but ok if you didn't know the white keys. The only critisism I would have is when you were dooing the 'test' at the end, it wasn't always that easy to see which key you were pressing. Maybe you should have used just one finger
Awesome Video-Wish I could do this in gospel piano playing -explained real slow for everybody to understand. There are too many videos that show off' more then teach.
I have a qeustion. I have such ole pianothing where you must blew in it. But because I never knew wich notes it where I put stickers on it with the notes in it :p. It's not the good way to learn? Is it better that I learn in my head :p
I gonna ask the 'piano' from my neighbour, thanks to this lessons I finaly understand it much better than the books.
I needed to learn piano for a test in my school band and this video helped a lot. Thank you so much!

I think you play beautifully. But I wouldn't expect "early" students to play anywhere near as well as you do.
I believe in encouragement. But if students expect to play like you do after a few lessons, they will be vastly disappointed.
However, I would continue to encourage them. Life is a missing hole without music.
