I had to think twice about commenting on this. Partly becuase it's a dead thread, but mainly becuase I avoid conversations where people are... let's say, upset.
Someone obviously called this artwork shitty. I do not agree with that.
But what I even more strongly disagrees with was the reply of
"like you can do any better'
You don't have to be more skilled than others in whatever area that is in question, to give critique. Go ahead, be frank.
"Shitty" isn't critique though, it's just rude.

I'll be perfectly honest, the graphic novel was strange, it didn't even feel like it was a backstory to any of the games including the original trilogy and it almost took me the whole book that there were TWO stories going on at two completely different times!
In all, the book was OKAY, not great, it was okay.

Admittedly, I couldn't do the buildings better. But I could certainly do the humans better (without trying to seem full of myself).
It may be style but to me it seems like theres no effort and like I said before, lacklustre.

it's not the game and it's not the upcoming movie. it's its own thing, and it's pretty damn brilliant. The guy who wrote the script is an Iranian, and it shows in the vision and poetry of the book... The preview makes it look like action-only, but it's actually pretty awesome storytelling if u ask me.
