Awesome! Too bad she is out of stock right now. As soon as this comes out I am going to get my batch and try it on my hair. That KCCC is just too darn expensive, messy, and it DOES NOT LAST long on the hair and did I mention that it is messy? It takes forever to dry and you have to use it in conjuction with other things on the line. It;s just not user friendly. The only thing I use the Kinky CCC for nowadays is to close my twists, let dry and untwin. It gives the twistout shine.That's it.

Love your videos, very informative. I will be trying the "separate and smooth" method because the front part of my hair along my edges is very wavy and I need that definition. It's funny because the back will "clump" on it's own but not my front edges, LOL! Very interesting. Thanks!

@Soundevant Yes you can use this on all lengths hair. You would just apply it a little different for short hair.

I finally received my orderof the curling jelly and it took about 3 weeks to receive the order. I ordered from Donna Marie website I guess for some reason the other websites listed never received my emails. I have 4b/4c hair and I was desperate to try something that might work. I tried the jelly last night and it defined my curls but came out hard as a rock. I was very light with the amount not sure what products will really work.

I love your hair! I've said this before, but it is alot like mine (kinky, wavy, no pattern on its own) but maybe not as thick and coarse. I say that becaause curl products really don't make my hair clump and hang like yours.But maybe I'll try this. Thanks!

Hey Twin, i tried afro coils. I think you would like them and I know you can do it with your texture. Instead of separated the hair like in this vid, take larger sections and twist it around your finger. Looks like silky dreads with our texture. It lasted me 2 wks. Also: I'm a 4a/afro-textured as well..but I'm noticing something--

MY dry/unmanipulated hair KEEPS my defined curl pattern in it WITHOUT adding product. The minute I add the heavy gels/etc...it breaks up my curls and turns it into FRIZZ.

However: it seems pretty consistent that people whose UNmanipulated textures do NOT define themselves...have EXCELLENT results with gels/stylers.

I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get gels/styling aids to work--but I think I've figured it out now.

I think my hair just wants me to add a light leave in and/or oil to seal in moisture...and let my curls do what it does naturally.

But I think...I wanted to capture what you have shown in this vid: elongation. I can easily get definied coils without product...but I miss out on the elongation!!!!

Cool technique. I sometimes do this when my hair is dry and I'm retouching a few random frizzies. But I never thought about doing it for the initial application on wet/damp hair. Looks like a lot of work - but totally worth it based on your results (curls for DAYS). Gonna try it with KCCC.

The 2nd day I had SUPER SHRINKAGE (a very teeny weeny afro). I can't wait to get my order of MiraCurl Curling Gelly....

I have been using this technique since I had my bc and it make my 3C hair full of individual spiral corky curls and i love the compliments I receive from others. This technique method works well with gel styling products only! Your hair looks great by the way and I will try it with Donna Marie MiraCurl. I will be buying it from your website soon.

The technique you're using is finger styling. My hair's medium density too. If your hair is wiry, I'd say your Daughter L according to the LOIS system. Thank you for this tutorial. I can't wait to get this product and give it a try!
