Very Informative.. Checked out all of your master cleanse vid's. I'm starting the diet in 2 days. I'm on day 1 ( well, day II now 3:55am in Ontario Canada right now ) Upon arising, i will have broths and vegetable juice and on the third day, ill be full-out on the lemonade cleanse. I have a question for ya... Can i use pure lemon ( juice - actual juice no additives ) in place of squeezing actual lemons?
i'm concerned about these "cleanses" and "detoxes" everyone is going on. I don't see any science behind it, i mean our livers and kidneys remove toxins... i don't see how a drink can do this. I don't see why Americans can't just eat right and exercise and stop opting for quick fixes! I don't mean to offend you or anybody here, you give your opinion on alot of things, i feel i should be able to voice my own. I'd like to hear what everyone thinks? and to see how many "thumbs downs" i get!
I have to agree with you. Our excretory system already flushes out all the toxins in our body for us. If it doesn't, there's something seriously wrong. The only real benefit of these detox diets is the constant fluid intake, though there's still an unbalance because no calories or nutrients are consumed during this cleanse. Your body actually starts to break down its own muscle tissue and your metabolism plummets in response to the lack of food. Simple dieting is a more healthful option.
I don't think the salt flush is an optional part of the cleanse. If the solution is detoxifying your system and such, the flush, well... flushes all of that out of your system. Without the flush, what else is getting the toxins out of your system regularly?
I did both on my cleanse, and I don't think you can compare the two. The salt water (specifically salted to the level of blood, so your body doesn't treat it as water) is literally exiting your system within 30 minutes. There is no question whether the flush works. Just don't drink the salt on your way out the door to work ;-)
Chris, definitely do the salt flush. Just be sure it's non-ionized salt. You don't want any of it absorbing into your body. The objective is entirely to 'scrub' the flora in your intestines.
Think of your intestinal tract as a tube lined with trees all pointing inwards. There's a lot of garbage stuck in the branches of them trees. You gotta knock all that stuff out and remove the dead leaves so healthy new flora will grow!
Yeah cleansing help couple of days, but now its the time to eat some real food..... ; so can feel good of yourself. Try eat a small portion a day, do lots cardio, biking and count your calories (1,200 calories a day) etc. Repeats this everyday, I guarantee you be skinny in a year.
I'm positive that in a few days you WILL say, "I feel AMAZING!!" You'll have that moment for sure. And then you'll start to realize how you want to eat to feel amazing all the time....

Also, can use more of the cayenne pepper?
I'd really appreciate your feedback. Cheers.
