This got to be my favorite part in FFIX aside from the chocobo quest.

@xAshe10x If you kill Zidane and you manage to keep Freya alive until the chrono is 0, she wins the tournament, and you are rewarded with the coral ring ^^

For the ring, wouldn't it be better to start the fight later just to steal and let freia survive? 4 mins to stay alive is very hard. O.o

@MrValentine13 yes it is. it's pretty useful hen fighting against grand dragons ( outside gilazamukes grotto) they use the thundaga spell that will kill you. besides the coral ring can absorb thunder damage so save this acessory.

in a normal playthrough i agree but is it really necessary in a Lvl 1 challenge? That was my question.^^

got the japanese version now:) gonna try the excalibur II perfect game soon:) it is far faster than the PAL version thats great.

@xAshe10x Tents are pretty useless in a level one game, but it's pretty cool you did this without one! :P
