I dont know if any of you have ice skated before and played hockey on ice, but when you get hooked like that and your stick gets yanked, that can offset your balance and your skate might catch the ice at an off angle and cause you to fall. That looks to me about what happened. The "hook" also turned into a trip when his stick slided down to Avery's ankle. That would also cause his foot to catch the ice the wrong way. Also, he gets payed to do that for all of you calling him a pussy.

and for the record, that was no hook. modry made an honest attempt at a poke check, and barely made any contact with avery at all. there's no way he could have had him enough from that angle to make him fall forward. if there had been a hook, then avery would have fallen back and to the right.

if he was an actual hockey player he would have taken the perfect pass and taken the shot.

who said accidental? i just said his stick was in the vicinity of avery and avery milked it. a trip is still a trip and so is a highstick, but a hook is completely different. you have to actually impede their progress and pull them back. avery, however, fell forward after a textbook poke check. thus, no hook.

what's sad is that avery isn't that bad when he actually plays. maybe he should try knocking off the clown routine and try just being a hockey player.

Ya know that's what I hate about games broadcasted on National TV. For example, I like the flyers and I remember just last year the announcers couldn't stop sucking Montreal's dick in the playoffs. Even when the flyers were winning. Every time there's a game on ESPN or something like that the announcers always have a favorite. It's so fucking annoying sometimes I just watch on mute.
