  • 6 people were part of the plot.

  • YEAH! !!! I love WHITE RABBITS the great band !!!!

  • Why don't you guys try writing your own music? U2 Bloody Sunday.

  • @summerkost Wow you're right holy moly...never knew that!

  • @summerkost have you ever listened to Sunday Bloody Sunday?

  • love stephen's hat

  • Thank ya, thank ya, thank ya...great song

  • ya quiero escuchar esta roliiiita >_<

  • coming to a local bar near you? zzzzzz

  • Too bad he sings just like dudeman from the Walkman. Exactly.

  • @MisterJungStuffed Too bad nobody gives a flying f*ck. And I guess it's also too bad that the guy singing isn't the only lead vocalist.

  • @MisterJungStuffed It's one thing to deliberately copy a specific style or tone. It's another thing to be born with similar vocal intonations...genes are such derivative assholes.

  • Looks kinda like Ian Curtis.

  • whooo, going to see them next monday =D

  • so they have two lead singers and two drummers?

  • yeah right, two drummers but is it the pianist who sings "percussion gun"

  • these guys are so good live and the band itself is sick

  • perhaps the best band I've seen in years.

    why aren't they big yet?

  • it sucks... we have only just started eharing there tracks here in oz within the last few months

  • they're well on their way. 600,000 views of their latest single's video, 2nd album cracked the billboard 200, percussion gun landed at 31 in billboard alternative, and they have support of bands like spoon and kaiser chiefs. glad i know them now, they're spectacular and will only get bigger and better we can hope

  • I downloaded It's Frightening and thought it was good. Then I saw this. Wow.

  • the singer in percussion gun is wayyyyyy better than this guy

  • No he's better you dickhead

  • Yeah i do like it better when Stephen sings the songs.

  • They both have such an outrageously different sounds that i think its unfair to say either of them have vocal advantage to the other.

  • they did perform 'percussion gun' on their second letterman performance in may of '09. search youtbe for it....or watch?v=0V-Xn5s6LVw

  • @d00kd00k Yeah back in May of '09 and the drumming sounds better(more amplified) than the studio version..

  • Check out there video "Percussion Gun" Its their best so far...........They need more like it and should have done it on Letterman.

  • i couldn't agree more with you... that vid and song are both just incredible!

  • they did dumbass. the only reason they didnt the first time was because they hadnt thought of the song in 07 when they performed on letterman.

  • Im not a Dumbass,I have a right to comment on here without so called people like you that have no self esteem trying to put others down. What your like 12 or something??? grow up !! besides I would be a Dumb Asset!

  • they did!! should be right in the related videos thing...

  • @Tankgirlie : they did perform "Percussion Gun" on Letterman.

  • @TheFamilyForder did they perform it the samenight? I was commenting on their performance over 8 months ago. I think the band rocks and was just voicing my opinion of my favorite song. people are soooooooo picky picky on youtube these days. must be alot of anger in the world...just have fun!

  • @Tankgirlie : I hope you weren't referring to me with the "picky picky" and "anger in the world" comments. I was just letting you know that they did play Percussion Gun on Letterman to introduce the "It's Frightening" album.

Too bad it looks like it was taken down, because the performance was AMAZING.

  • BS wish I would have known...

  • Am I out of line to say that this band has a slight affection for The Walkmen?

  • They did open for them in St. Louis

  • Not at all. They toured with them, after all.

  • I listened for 2 minutes and was still waiting for a melody.

  • how so..? the song is vocally melodic, there's not many times in the song where there isn't singing. the other instruments just add to the arrangement .. not to mention the chord structures and lush instrumentation is effin gorgeous.

  • you gotta love the tambourine guy. Rock on tambourine guy!!

  • Not nearly as good as the cowbell guy though. Cowbells are always in the best songs.

  • @nugbutt : hey, that's Matt Clarke (aka The Duck)...he's the most energetic member on any given night. The Duck is a madman!

  • @nugbutt too bad hes dead now punk!

  • I love this band and video

  • i like the guy's piano. just looks like a big case for something and then shoop, out slides the keyboard

  • "P. Jordan, the guy who washes dishes..." What?

  • errr,

    5-5-7-8

    8-8-10-11

    6-8-8-8

  • I did a small guess for the tabs and these seem generally accurate -- I'm positive that they're not 100% accurate though.

There's not enough space to write the tab normally, but it's three chords: (in order from the a to b string) 5-5-7-8 8-8-10-11 6-8-8-8

by the way, my high e string is absent, so I didn't tab that string in.

Hope this is of some sort of help.

  • yea exactly lol thats why i love modest mouse they aint this typical.

  • I wonder who you like to think you don't sound like.

  • really, better live than on the album

  • maybe it's just me, but they're 100% better live than on their album. i saw them live with spoon and they blew me away; later on i listened to their album and was partially disappointed. it's good, but not as good as them live.

  • agreed

  • This is even better than the album version.

  • I've had this song in my had for days!

  • I actually listened to the White Rabbits because of this appearance. Great band....but most of their songs weren't as good as this one.

  • whos got tabs or chords

  • didnt they tour with spoon for a while?

  • Yeah, they did a tour with them this summer. Saw them in Davenport with the Walkmen and Spoon. They're amazing live. The album's great.

  • New favorite band. :D

  • Great video. Love the song

  • i saw this guys in baltimore with the walkmen, and they put on a great show when they can go nuts. they were all switching instruments and it was a very entertaining show. if they werent on letterman they woulda been goin nuts

  • Bored...

  • your moms trying to be like green day...sorry couldn't resist

anyway this band and song is great :D

  • I don't even know what to say in response to that.

Green Day, while decent at first, has sold out and degenerated into just another boy-band for 12-year-old girls to ogle. White Rabbit are a recently-formed, rather low-profile Indie band.

Anyway, their sounds aren't even remotely similar.

  • I saw mates of state at the blue bird and stole the white rabbits flyer off the wall

  • Gaara, were you the one in the white peasant-style blouse in the front row at the St. Louis show? I think they had a few family members there that night at the Bluebird.

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your brother's band!!! I heard "Kid on My Shoulders" randomly one day on KDHX and fell in love immediately.

  • hmmm maybe i dont know.

    When did this happen?

  • where's your brother from? I know 3 of the members graduated from the same high school as me, and one of the band member's sister comes into the record store I work at a lot

  • Jefferson city missouri :]

  • This was on... Let me think... June 2nd, at the Bluebird in St. Louis. I only ask because the band said at one point that several of their family members were there and the girl in the peasant blouse, who I think was one of their sisters, was very enthusiastic. :) Totally fabulous show. And their families seemed so cool! Even the parents were dancing.

  • Ahh i wasnt there.

But i dont think that girl was related :]

She might just be a crazed fan xD

But I am 14 and I am very happy that my brother is so succesfull :D

  • gomachols is an ass...this band is amazing!

  • Who ISN'T related to this band?..

  • Good song but way 2 repetitive.

  • This song has to be the best so far.

I am very proud of my brother Alex.I cannot wait to see him or talk to him and tell him how great he is doing.

    He is at 3:27.

Yes I am really his younger sister. It is exciting knowing that he is doing well :]

  • I'm obsessed with White Rabbits. Heard a song off the Paste CD sampler and saw them with Spoon. Fucking hooked!!

  • went to see spoon & the walkmen a few weeks ago at the riv in chicago...had not heard a note played by white rabbits before the show and they absolutely blew me away and stole the show.

  • i met this band last night at a concert they performed on my school's campus. amazing people, even more amazing musicians and performers. the show was great.

  • right, cause bands arent allowed to wear suits

  • all these bands dress the same. and i don't buy that it's their real style. they seem to be playing dress up. corporate packages.

  • Trove101 - Bands like Fall Out Boy are corporate packages. It's simply ridiculous to assume that if a band wears suits, or they look like they're playing "dress up" by your standards (which is strictly opinion & has no real criterion backing it up) that they are churned about by a label. I admit, bands dressing "professionally" is a new-ish trend - but I think it's a lot more tolerable than the trend of bands sounding like Fall Out Boy just for some really superficial recognition.

  • 100% agree, although Interpol seemed to revive the suit trend, as well as the post-punk genre. White Rabbits and Interpol are geniune in music and style. They're not some kind of mainstream faggotry. Even when they're not on stage they wear the same thing.

  • ronjonsurf - lol! at "mainstream faggotry." While that cracked me up, and I wouldn't doubt there is some truth behind it - I personally might be more inclined to use nugatory - which I just learned the meaning of! :)

Almost got to see White Rabbits at SXSW - but we were unable to get in because the stupid bouncer dude was illiterate and couldn't read the RSVP list :\ Radiohead in Houston should make up for that, though!

    All the best!

  • awesome

  • they remind me of arctic monkeys

  • I don't think they sound anything like the Arctic Monkeys. If anything, they sound more like The Walkmen (they've also toured with them).

  • <333 Alex Even - My brother! YAyuhhh.

  • Not bad for being on live

  • they are mu tigers baby!

  • TEXAS CHAINSAW MASS CHOIR

  • I get your reference. People who buried you are retarded. Rock on!

  • this song is so great

  • Just saw them at ottobar in baltimore, freakin awesome!

  • im about to see them at the sonar in baltimore performing with spoon and the walkmen. i'm so pumped.

  • Lol!

    Very good !

  • sounds like "You Strike My Main Nerve" from Tower of Power at the beginning of the video..

  • One of the best new bands in the biz!

  • I saw these guys at Lollapalooza, they were smiling the whole time, it was great.

  • heard this song playing at urban outfitters

    Bianca Richardson

  • Wow, I loved them before but now I adore them. Truly great musicians, one of the only band that have a permanent pianist instead of having the guitarist who play both instruments. Well done.

  • So. Proud.
