Mortplayer is the only one with STOP function. I use only it. Player Pro and PowerAmp are more expensive (Mortplayer is GRATIS). There's nothing more to say.
Is it possible to have a music app on an Android who work like the one on an iPod touch? Like save my last song listen, sync with iTunes, can chose which album to listen etc...
Do you know how to stop PowerAmp from taking over my device as soon as I plug in my earpiece? I plugged my earpiece in & what I was listening to was switched to PowerAmp. I looked in settings but, true to all things Android, the list of settings & options & combinations & permutations was long, layered & convoluted. Is it possible to stop this device from commandeering what I'm listening to as soon as I plug in an earpiece?
How come none of these players are able to work the volume buttons on my headset? The Play/Pause works well enough, but I haven't been able to find any application that can get the volume ones to work.

Finally found one that does work, a Motorola bluetooth headset. It has a play/pause, volume controls, and prev/next song controls. And it works with Android or iOS, so I'm quite happy with it.
For some reason the bluetooth approach must differ from the wired headsets.
