Acts 2:38 is still God's plan of salvation. This is the way God started the church n the Jews, Gentiles n Samaritans all came the same way. Get saved according to the word. Check out "APOSTOLIC PRODUCTIONS" on here.
If you fell back into your old sinful ways again after getting baptized do you need to get baptized again? Even if you don't need to is it ok to get baptized again?
BOOM! Nailed it right there! Why indeed do I see the doctrine of "tongues as some sort of evidence" so prevalent in world-approved churchianity circles? The bible clearly does not support this doctrine. Is there a pseudochristos type spirit working hard to deceive the very elect? It would explain the “fake Christian” problem.
Thank you for your response Millie..I'm sorry If I sound mean or stupid;/ I just have so many questions and I know you can't answer all of my concerns. I will make a true effort to read and understand the bible, take some serious time off w/just God and my-self:) I just wish I could find that passion and love that you feel. YOu are doing an excellent job for Jesus because you got me wanting some of your Jesus GLOW! ..I love you too sister *hugs*
@nn120974 nah i will tell you if i dont know the answer i go by the exoperience i just pray my life always reflects what i speak on.. You will keep your eyes on Jesus an Hunger for him.. amen
Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I think the biggest thing I realized when I got baptized was that I was DYING to my old man, my sin nature, my flesh... I was dying WITH Christ and then being raised up WITH Him to newness of life. Life in the Spirit. I can testify that I definitely noticed a change after that day. I was raised a Christian, but never understood baptism until two years ago when the Lord revealed the meaning to me and then I HAD to go under the waters!
And that's another point, wanting to believe and believing is a difficult task in my humble opinion. It seems to me that people who believe are ones who have lived sinful lives or have had hardship. They seem to be the ones who get chosen and given proof and given a gift of faith in one instant! And for the rest of us who live not so sinful/hardship lives have to struggle w/believe/faith . And leaves us questioning our faith. Is asking for proof from God a bad thing?
@nn120974 Beloved here is a scripture that will help with what you are feeling I pray the lord gently opens your heart..to it. :) Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little." luke 7:47 He came for the lost sheep of israel all of it we are all different and he knows only he knows why some suffer more than others.. my desire is to fufill is will.. why because i spent so much in mine..love you
the thing w/that is reading the bible does not come so easy to most of us...More than half of the things I read make no sense to me or have trouble understanding:/ And when you start reading do you start from the very beginning and work your way to the end or do you pick and choose what chapter to read? I know that when I read some of it, it confuses me with "this was the son of so and so..who lived for 300 years and this is the son of so and so who married..etc..you get my point. I need help!
16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16
When I got baptized, I did it because I was ready to live my life separated from the world (sin). I also completed the commandment. Not to join some religion or denomination. I have no religion or denomination. I'm just a Christian, a believer & follower of Jesus Christ. I have a personal relationship. Not religion.
Getting baptized is a public announcement of you repenting of your sins. It is saying that you are ready to live for God in holiness. It is also a commandment. Jesus got baptized to be an example. Not that he needed to be separated from sin cause Jesus had no sin. The bible says Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Not being argumentative only trying to understand. Didn't John the baptist say I baptize you in water, but he who comes will baptize you in the spirit. (something like that) Doesn't that mean water baptisim is not required. I want to be baptized but I cant find a church that does full submergence. If you have water sprinkled over your head that doesn't count...right?
I want to be ur friend on fb.. I've always grow stronger in the Lord cuz the holy spirit works through u very well :) ... Well my name is George William Saint Gaudens, look me up!!
How do you recieve the Holy Spirity? One thing is to say it but to actually feel and truly believe..How do you find that diciplin? . Is it by spending time alone with God? I hear your love and passion and I yearn to feel that love and have your undying faith...why were you chosen to feel such gift...how do you reach that kind of inlightment.? How? I feel cheated..I'm sorry..it's how I feel. I envy you and your knowledge.
You have to build a relationship with God and believe. The bible tells you to tarry, which means to wait. God will give you the gift of the Holy Spirit when you give yourself away and embrace him. Don't envy anyone for the gift because God will give it to all who believe and live for him. YOu will receive, but you have to let go all knowing sin and ask for wisdom to understand the words of God and read it. The bible is God's way of speaking to us and getting to know him and prayer.
@nn120974 When we let the world go away. get in a quiet place. Pray and meditate on the Word, the HS will be there. We need to call on Him. He is our Friend, Counselor, Comforter, Protector, brings memorization of scripture, Guide, Strength. We can call on an Infilling from Him, anytime. It brings peace and calm.
Jesus Christ WAS baptized...therefore in Jesus all rules/laws have been fullfilled, including the sabbath. The baptism of water is not a "requirement" to get to heaven. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is what leads us into all truths. I have been saved for 4 years and have not been dunked in water yet, because I haven't found a family church yet to join....when I do, I will get baptised...but until then...I can't, and I certainly trust that GOD will still be faithful and save me.
@Ruckcuz01 The truth IS Jesus. I am not willingly being "disobedient." The TRUTH has already been baptised by water and I am in Christ. Baptism now is an outwardly sign by the believer to the church that they are commited. I KNOW that if I were to die today, with out being baptised by water, that the Holy Spirit in me has still sealed me for redemption. I watch almost every video you post and have agreed with everything you are speaking, except this, I believe based on scripture your wrong
@kristimjlove I do nothing unless My Father in Heaven does or says so..He Told us to be baptized...I dont want to disobey willfully..that is sin.He knows best the reasons for baptism an let me tell you it was a turning point in my life..truly my sis where forgivenan I was born..I will stand by the word of G-d an protect its validity till the day i day..not with just mere words but with action..Be well an of Good cheer beloved.
@Ruckcuz01 So are you telling me that because I have not been dunked in water and proclaimed my faith to a "church" group yet...that if I were to die tonight without being baptised that I would die in my sin?
@kristimj love you dont need a church group just to be baptized. It was a comand. He told us.. if we disobey we wilfully sin..Listen im just speaking as my father spreaks i am not held accountable after i have spoke wht the word of G-d says beloved.
@Ruckcuz01 Ok, so can I dunk myself in my bathtub? What are the rules and regulations of who does it, where, and the timing? Romans says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Jesus fullfilled the water baptism along with all other rules and regulations.
@kristimjlove Where did you get this understanding? That Jesus fullfilled water baptism so it's not important? That is false. He commanded it to the disciples to baptize all nations matt 28:19.. Then in the same commandment he said this:
Mark 16:16 He that believeth AND IS BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Has nothing to do with church membership, outward symbols of inward works. It is a real and tangible thing that happens. It is for remission of sins.
@Ruckcuz01 Jesus commanded to Baptize. It is an outward identification w/ Christ, of what is inside. A picture of Christ dying, going into the grave and being raised. A Christian is proclaiming to the world, I am obedient to God. Christian. I am part of the Church of Jesus C. His Church. I am His bride. It is not for Salvation as some falsely teach. I believe when you Repent, put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you are immediately indwelt with God's Spirit. Regenerated.
"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen." (Jude 24-25)
If He can keep you from stumbling, He can definitely keep you from falling. Bless you
Jesus was baptized by John. He was the example. You only need another believer to baptize you. And you can baptize them. Whole body baptism.
John the baptist lived in the desert because He stayed out of the jurisdiction of King herod. He had a mission to do and it was more important that he lived in the desert till his time came.
I tell you though. The Holy Spirit is not held back if you are not baptized. He knows the heart. He only comes if you let go. The baptism is obedience after.
I was baptized a few months after I was born by the catholic church. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior about a year ago. What are your thoughts on being baptized at an early age without knowledge of it's meaning?
@72Brundlefly it ridiculous... i can't say a baby being a disciple yet until he or she is of age..to understand. which some little ones are more mature in the faith than some adults
I'm not sure if we need it or not but I want to be baptise again of my own accord. John 3:5 Jesus answered: Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. If the water is not water baptism then what is it? Thanks and God bless you!
The water is the water that breaks before physical birth from the mother's womb. But Mark 16:16 is a good enough reason for water baptism. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." Bless you.
True enough. All that is necessary for Salvation is faith that results in a God-begotten spirit indwelled by the Holy Spirit. (John 3:5, 16, 18, 36; Romans 8:9) But distinctions about what is and is not necessary for Salvation serve no real purpose for a true disciple. And I am only speaking to true disciples, potential true disciples, or the dead. Bless you.
@GodsWill777777 A Picture, an identification w/ Christ's, death, burial and resurrection. Proclaim to the world. Baptism does not save. Only by Jesus' sacrifice and believing unto Him. 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except by Me.' Acts 19:4
Paul , “ John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” The passage does not say to believe in Baptism, but in the only name that saves.
well, I think that you are so blessed to have Texasauthor01 as a mentor, I love listening to her teach and her prophetic words from the Lord are awesome :-)
Great Message sister I youse 2 think i could overcome things on my own but i would fall back into those things the very same day Jesus can set us free from anything !!!!
@boldforjesus It's not required for salvation, but it's done out of obedience to what Jesus commanded. I see it as an outward (often public) sign of our new life in Christ, or in other words being born-again. I also believe it strengthens our spiritual life as well in certain ways we may not even fully understand.
The Lord Jesus said to baptize and be baptized in Mark 16 and all the accounts in Acts the disciples baptized.. Philip went under the waters with the Ethiopian hence the immersion.

@boldforjesus It's not required for salvation, but it's done out of obedience to what Jesus commanded. I see it as an outward (often public) sign of our new life in Christ, or in other words being born-again. I also believe it strengthens our spiritual life as well in certain ways we may not even fully understand.

@conqueringthruchrist Jesus did not command us to get water baptized. You need to watch my video about it. There is no magic trick in the water.

Hallelujah! Good video! You were really on point.
The Lord Jesus said to baptize and be baptized in Mark 16 and all the accounts in Acts the disciples baptized.. Philip went under the waters with the Ethiopian hence the immersion.
Good post!
