It's still Sonata, they aren't moving it to upscale model.. Affordable midsize all around good midsize family sedan, that's what they are focusing on.. Affordable price with style.. unlike what Hyundai used to be..

Got a chance to look at the Sonata today in person. 2 major problems.

1) Hyundai needs to fix the MASSIVE panel gap between the bonnet & grill. It looks like the bonnet is not closed properly.

2) Styling found inside TRIES to give a feeling of a Near Luxury car, BUT fails bcus materials inside& tactile feel of the switches are no different from what is found in an i30 or elantra.

Conclusion: Don't think you'll be getting a car that encroaches on the Azera territory. It's only the design that is a little bit more fresher than before. Other than that it is just a humble midsize car.

Very disappointed with the front. Could have hit a home run with original redesign but this looks like a Buick's front. Hyundai Genesis Coupe doesn't look nice either...they seem to screw up the design.
