That seems extremely dangerous for the drivers! What if somebody isn't paying attention and hits a car in front of them that slowed to read your signs! People are going really fast on the freeway! It would be horrible if someone got hurt! I love OccupyLA and the movement as a whole. It's about time we stood up before it's too late, but causing a motor vehicle accident is not going to further the cause. Just something to think about!
@raincheck01 LMAO I seen so many freeway protests before... of course drivers put on make-up, talk and text plus change radio stations and talk to passangers while driving... you think reading a sign will cause a crash? ...you do realize that billboards that advertise products to buy do the same thing... they require people to read the signs... @CandyLaStar Yeah, people doing all those things while driving is why this "protest" is dangerous. What do you think I meant by "if somebody isn't paying attention..."? You can't compare an immobile billboard on the side of the rode to a group of people jumping around swinging signs off an overpass in the middle of a driver's vision. I've never seen a billboard hanging off an overpass in the middle of the rode. So yeah I thought about and I still think it's dumb & now I think you are too! LMAO!

@CandyLaStar We do have policies against it. They're called laws. Do you see how the traffic is slowing down to read the signs? That violates Vehicle Code 2410. The California Highway Patrol has a duty to keep traffic flowing safely & as quickly as possible. It's pretty clear by this video the traffic is slowing down significantly to read the signs & that is a violation. If someone crashed their car & died the protesters could very well be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Yes I'm American.
@CandyLaStar I'm all for peaceful protesting. I spent a couple of weeks sleeping on the concrete at OccupyLA and marching in protests. I don't agree with protests that endanger the lives of people driving 75 or 80 miles an hour on the freeway.
@raincheck01 um... with minor difficulty I found out the posted speed is 55 additionally on the high side people drive 65 (usually 10 over) ...so your saying that the protesters should be respectful of the people who are speeding 20-25 MPH over the speed-limit and breaking the law... haha I will admit dangleing signs down looks dangerous in case they do drop one but beside that its the drivers responsibility to drive safely and if they SLOW down to read signs they would not be speeding anymore!
