When Cameo first hit the scene, Wayne Cooper was the lead singer. After his death, (replacing Wayne Cooper’s voice would be impossible, as we see on all their future albums and current concerts) he put his vocal DNA on this song, making it almost impossible to duplicate by anyone: However, Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind and Fire, could probably give this song, the best shot in a remix ….I would love to hear him try. RIP Wayne Cooper.

Huh....the other guy singing is Charlie Singleton! Not the "bass" player. He was with the group since 1981...and had various solo projects and still with them today. THough the vocals don't sound that great here, he is an excellent guitarist

El, Bobby (RIP), Prince could do the part in his sleep (see Scandalous, Adore, Do Me, etc. etc.) but obviously they aren't going to tour with Cameo, not that El is that busy, so they really should add a new member just sing this part right. Even if they're in the background to bridge the gap it would be better then Singleton stretching to try to hit notes out of his range.

This version wasnt that bad, Cmon! Singing in falsetto live can be very challenging, and you guys are trying to compare the original record cut, (edited and enhanced) to a live set! On top of that, the audio people had the sound stuffed, as you can clearly see the poor guy struggling to hear himself.

Instrumentally, the band is quite tight, and vocal wise, and main vocalist was in key all the way(except in two phrases that I noticed), so give some credit.....

The so called "man with the mask, is Charlie Singleton who joined the group in 1981, and can sing his ass off, and was a major contributor to the bands success. The audio on here isn't the greatest and does not do Charlie justice. Listen to "For You" "Style" or "I Owe It All To You" to get a real feel for Charlie's vocal skills and just chill! A short while after Wayne died guitarist Charlie Singleton joined the group and did a great job singing Wayne's parts. I remember seeing them when I was about 15 right after he joined.
