  • Nice to see Tony Dangerfield on film. Last time I saw him was at Carlo Little's funeral in South Shields. Long live Rock n' Roll!

  • Prettygood film but its hard to understand

0_o But what i get is the fish ate this magical bullet that shoots when lethal weapons that can hurt nature touches it. It seems that after the bullet went off everything was peacful but another fish got it.

  • im Nicola

Dangerfield and the film is a great comfort to us ...im proud of everything he was involved in

  • So, this guy catches a big fish, which he apparently intends to eat, and a bullet that the fish ate at some point goes off and kills the fisherman???

Only an independent filmmaker, or film student would find anything of value here. Or, of course, those among us who believe mankind is responsible for all the evils of the world. I guess the Bear man found out that nature can be tough too!!

Sorry, I fail to see the magic in this.

  • great film!

we've embeded it on our website.

    keep your good work!

  • I don't think it really needs explanation. Think about it on a bigger scale.

  • I agree with anotherpunchline.

You are fantastic with a camera. But I dont understand what your film is trying to say, what the story is or if there is one.

  • You have great shots but it seems like it's just for the sake of good shots not because it's necessary to the storyline.

Again if you can use that great camera work with a really thorough story it will end up being something unique.

  • A talented director for sure, no doubt about that. But your storytelling needs a little work. Maybe it's just me but does a story about a blinking killer fish seem kinda ridiculous? I mean it was literally two full minutes of a guy fighting a fish, then another two following a fox. There was no narrative at all. What was this about?

  • Nice!

  • Its a great video and I find it very poignant that I have just found it three days after the untimely death of Tony Dangerfield who played the fisherman. I know he was very proud of it

  • (Sorry about the split post, I got caught up in the 500 word limit)

  • Great job, and I can't wait to see more of your superb work. Did you by any chance submit this to "On the Lot?" I would have thought you would have made it pretty far if you did!

  • Wow. Just wow. This video is simply amazing. I think that stylistically you made all the best choices possible to move the story along. The scene where the man is wrestling with the fish was also mind-blowing! I flet like I was right there in the action! I could really feel the struggle between the man and the fish. I also loved how you tied it together in the end. It was simply magic. And I felt like the musical choices couldn't have been better. No wonder it took you three years, man!

  • Nice vid dude

  • A talented film maker....quality.

  • Brilliant, those guys from banana park must have been involved.

  • Gary your short film is amazing. The quality is truly superb, and well done for getting such images!! The only thing I really dislike was the music playing when the man is fishing, it reminded me terribly of Porn film or elevator music, sorry about the criticism. Best of luck for the next one.

  • 1996

  • Gary,

What year was this shortlisted for Bafta?

    Tom

  • must of took ages! nice one?

just one thing; whats up with the screen size constantly changing?
