You can use google to find that program. Notice it says DPT? Put in the Google seach box: DPT PIXEL. You will then see the 'Dead Pixel Tester''. These things are simple with a bit of applied intelligence.
then u should be able to replace it regardless like i can't return it to the store because they have a policy for only LCD monitors with 7 dead/stuck pixels
@l33tazoraus If you have a whole row, not a clump of them like a ball, then the manufacturer HAS to replace it based on the legal limit for stuck pixels, which is 50 for the WORST cheap-brand monitors, and an entire row is more than 50.
Most manufacturers will replace anything over 5 stuck pixels, while top of the line brands replace if you have any at all. Hope I helped a little.
I have a pixel that i can only see on a black background. It changes colors depending on which angle you're looking at it from. It looks either red, purple-ish, or blue or white (I don't know if that's due to it being TN?) Anyway, I've tried everything on this and I don't really know what to do. Could just be the unfortunate pixel that I can't un-stuck or could it be a dead pixel?
If DPT doesn't work there is a video here in youtube that has rapidly changing colors play it and drag the video to the stuck pixel, and then you can do the massage that works for me
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I bought a 21' Widescreen and two days later I got a stuck pixel. Did exactly what you did in the movie and 20 seconds later, gone. THANKS DUDE!
this needs to be done on a WARM monitor, not a cold one. can anyone help? i can fix the pixel but everytime i turn the monitor off for a while and it cools down i have to fix it again.
I bought today an Asus VW221D, and I was shocked when I say a red stucked pixel in the center of the screen. I used the DPT, and a rounded plastic thing, and I gently pressed the screen...after 5 seconds voila, the stucked pixel disappaired! Thank you again!
I tried the same program as you, Massaged the pixel but didnt help. Do you have any tips? Should I press the liquid toward the pixel or away from it? I really need help :)
I got a red dot on my screen, it's also visible when monitor is turned off. could be scratch or stuck pixel. I did have a red pen and touched the screen with that. It's still there, are stuck pixels visible with LCD turned off ?
took me like 10 seconds, thanks alot ! will use this in the future :)

what if you have a whole row.
l33tazoraus 2 years ago
It would be a connector problem instead.
