nice last time i checked about 6 years ago largest star discovered was betelgeuse (alpha orionis) about 1,180 solar radii ,interesting thing is VY canis majoris is about 1,800 ,personally i find binary VV cephei more scary, imagine dwarf star anchored with cephei doesn't have long left till it go nova
