Okay final boss. How bad can it be? I have beaten Water Wraith, Segmented Crawbster, Man At Legs, and tons of other big bad guys so it should not be that bad

@katreete They aren't... It gathering food/objects is called 'evil', then basically everything on earth is 'evil'. The only reason they attack is to defend themselves, just like any other animal would do if they were trying to survive.

Maybe Louie controlled it so he can kill other monsters easily so he can cook them without fighting them himself, then the dweevil got out of control. I mean Louie didn't spend much time alone and he sampled AAAAAAALL the indigenous species on the planet, he had to have someway of killing the animals for food.

We Must save Louie? the final boss is titan dweevil? i think you've got it all wrong. in an E3 confrence in 2010 they announced that the final form of titan dweevil(without his skin and he's harmless) is what he really is. louie just jumped outta the ship on purpose and gave him armor and those weapons and took control of him. so we need to save titan dweevil and stop Louie.

I made it through this without loosing any pikmin, I reached louie and I was like :D then that thing appeared and D: It took me 3 tries to realize I wasn't supposed to attack his legs.

I came in, somehow making it with 65 pikmin. They all died. My friend comes. He had Pikmin 2 since 2005. He doesn't split them into groups: He dives in with all! He aced it easily! I was like: "OMG!!! I beat the game!!! YOU RULE!!!!"

'It's proved completely that louie at least comunicated with the dweevil, the ship says that he has the same mental wavelength as bugs, he wants to be called the king of bugs, olimar said that he was controlling the titan. Come, how do you think he did survive all that time?

Maybe he didn't tell the titan to kill olimar and the president and the dweevil was just trying to protect him when it thougt they were a menace for louie

@joelcll I think that sounds like a reasonable theory. And if you don't get the treasures and go back, the dweevil still attacks you by itself. So maybe it's still angry at you for taking Louie away from it.

Dweevils imitiate things that they carry and titan dweevil was carrying louie.... So louie controlled him but i think dweevil paniced and louie lost control of it.

i think the titan dweevil is eons old and it's the last of it's kind(the large dweevils) and it wanted revenge on the human race. and when it saw louie, he/she/it remembered it's kind being wiped out and knoked him out, and he faught olimar and..... well, u know the rest.

Louie was pissed At Olimar for leaving him and the Prez for making him go in the first place. He Controlled the Dweevil in an attempt to do them in and play it off like he was held captive. That's why he is called the "King of Bugs" when collected as a treasure.

I believe that louie wasnt the cause of the titan dweevil attacking, the titan dweevil didnt feel threatened when louie came as he was only one but when olimar came he had his group of pikmin so he attacked,

also, LOUIE DIDNT GET MAD BECAUSE HE WAS LEFT BEHIND he stayed behind because he was scared olimar and the president would find out he was responsible for the debt.

Everyone, please! I think we need a little reality check here.

The game never tells you for absolute certainty whether or not Louie was dominating the Dweevil or not. There is enough evidence in the game to formulate as many theories as you want, but nothing can confirm any of those theories.

So, did Louie control the Dweevil so it would do his bidding?

Maybe he did or maybe he didn't.

The truth is that it's a mystery, which is just another illustration of the beauty of Pikmin.

If you ask me, Louie had probably done nothing with the beast. Much rather, finding his way down, he decided to rest. Now of course, he is harmless, and bugs take a liking to him, so the Titan Dweevil simply let him sit on its head. Olimar, Shachou, and the Pikmin, however, aren't exactly liked, and are taken as threats. So Louie possibly did nothing, but I could be wrong.

Ah, yes, but think. Who says Louie got there almost as soon as Olimar, Shachou, and the Pikmin did? He couldn't really have climbed back up, seeing as the sub levels are rather tall, so he rested on this pile of treasure, which turns out to be a bug. Perhaps Louie was too light to be noticed?

I don't really know what he was planning to do to Olimar once he got down there, but.....

I managed to beat him with my yellow, while only losing one to poison. I just put the President and all pikmin sans yellow in the corner where you land. After, take Olimar and the yellow pikmin and start bashing the water item first, since it's the only one that attacks your pikmin from outside the circle as well.

You can't find Louie huh? Look for a bridge at the beginning, break the black wall, kill any creatures there, then you'll find a hole. In Pikmin 1, the Dream Den used to be the location of the Main Engine in Pikmin 1.
