there are people out there who think that we australians complain to much about decisions. it doesn't matter how many times i look at that replay, its not a penalty. Grosso contacted Lucas, Lucas did not contact Grosso. against Brazil, we put our hands up and excepted that we were beaten fair and square by a respectable side with a great manager. but we simply don't put up with incorrect decisions which decide the outcome of games. Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger would both fully agree
they did it again this world cup against New Zealand. they were loosing to a team some 70 odd spots below them and oh take a dive and there we go point won.
they should be ashamed they are "world champions" and almost lost to New Zealand. not to take anything away from the Kiwi's they played brilliantly. oh and yeah how much do the italian's get paid professionally as players?? two of the Kiwi's are amateurs and have day jobs! Typical Italian acting!
im an italian fan, yes the decision was unfair but it brought australia back to reality. It was a fun filled ride up to that point. All i can say is welcome to international football.
niell's a wanker i'm not supporting socceroos until he retires..although i dont think it was penalty australia had plenty of opertunity after italy only 10men and couldn't take the chance so therefor didn't deserve to win,and how is it cheating? grosso's trailing foot catches niell and he fell over..by no means a dive...but like i said before it shouldn't have been a penalty....but anyway if niell wasn't so shit he wouldv'e stayed on 2 feet and not slid in the ref couldn't give a 50/50 penalty.
man u cant dump on people for being em otional about the world cup man, everyone nows it wasnt a penalty...Blatter the man said himself this wasnt a penalty,he tripped over neil, neil did challenge early but he could have avoided him.thats how italians play,if the dont dive their buying matches...shame because they have great players..
Yeah i'll second that man. Foster has the passion, and he fights back the tears rather well. He lived and breathes soccer.
From what I gather, everyone really feels like Italy just got very lucky this World Cup. The dirty tactics continued right up to the final with Mazeratti's racism.
the refereeing towards australia in the tournament was a joke, they always favoured the big nations like brazil, italy and japan when we had vsed them and we got absolutly no rub of the green, hopefully in 2010 the refereeing will bloody improve. up australia!
LOL @ Japan being a big nation. What do you mean Australia got no rub of the green? Do you remember Tim Cahill's blatant bodycheck on the Japanese player in the penalty area, or Kewell's offside goal against Croatia? We weren't good enough and that's that.
dive or no dive, the referee should be blamed, not the player
although australia could have defeated italy, italian footballers are now racially called 'divers', so australians are no better.
the teams were equally matched, however, australia could not take the advantage of italy having 10 men

Australia never even put Italy under any pressure. The Italians thrive on such a game, 10 men, wall against their backs.

i hadn't seen this, man you can really feel fozzies pain, well i did.
All i have to say is Lucas Neil shouldn't have dived in, he lost his defensive basics of jockeying. thats why the ref gave the italians the penalty.

Blatter back in europe, the home of football said italy were worthy winners.
Aus are thugs, and have a rep for being a rough team.
Plus their strip is terrible, yellow and green
