I was 13,purchased this album, sat in my room singing my heart out,...i learned to sing from these ladies.I was so confused, lonely, disfunctional,an (undiagnosed yet) bipolar....but music was my medicine,my escape from the madness of home & my head.Listening to this is bittersweet, but it tells me I AM a survivor.....and thats all that matters......amen.
Had the cardboard cutout wagon promo signage hanging in my bedroom. I think I was 15 or 16 when this album came out....remember looking up the word "bane" in the dictionary to see what it meant. (Doh!)
Ann & Nancy,I bow to thee! You kicked our collective asses in Kansas City this past Saturday night. You guys still "Kick It Out" on stage. Hope to see the band again soon.
A few years ago two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said "Get the kids and get out of the house, we'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue". The "clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00am with a chainsaw in his hand. Sorry don't want this to happen to me
I saw Heart at this time and to date no one was hotter not trying to be. You watched her work the stage it was better than sex. When she was done you just went, "WOW! That was hot."
It was the little things. Not like today where you run around 95% naked trynig to be hot. Ann Wilson was hot with trying to be.
My oh my she could make my blood boil just watch her sing.
@as435943 Oh, Annie was trying to be sexy alright she has said many times she made it a point to make that part of the performance...she was artistic about it she didn't want or need to be in your face about it, almost naked.
I was 5 years old when my brother gave me a copy of Little Queen. I played it and played it on my crappy little orange record player. 32 years later, I am still one of Heart's biggest fans. Thank you so much for the great music! :)
"How did they go from soul-stirring heights like this to the dreck they did in the '80s?" Answer in two words: Roger Fisher (or to be exact, the lack thereof.).
How did they go from soul-stirring heights like this to the dreck they did in the '80s? No offense to anyone who likes "Never" and all that, but the '80s stuff was overproduced and had zero mystery to it. Early/'70s Heart exudes power and a fantastic sense of the unknowable. They lost the danger.
Saw their Dog & Butterfly concert at the Seattle Center Coliseum in 1979 (opening act: Head East) which was a seminal coming-of-age experience for me and my friends at age 15. I will take memories of that concert to my grave :-) Thank You Heart!
Jeez people, the comercials are just a few seconds, get over it. Without the comercials we'd all haveto pat for these cool videos. Or worse never even see or know about them.
wow. HEART changed sooo much from this type of music to what they played in the 80s. if only Ann looked like this during the 80s. she really was beautiful! and that amazing voice!
@SlippstersVideos - and if the songs that were on Magazine was on Little Queen, that album would have been one heck of an important album in rock history too.
@MARIUS606 True! It's even weirder that one song gets blocked and another does not from the same band. How stupid is that? I can watch this but cannot watch How Can I Refuse.
Wow, where do I begin? Ann's dress is incredible, and her voice is incredible too. I love Ann in this, okay because it's one of the few times I've caught a clip with her dancing on stage. That was cool. Today I love this song. :)
To Bad ann Doesnt Look like The Way She Did In The 70s Even Nancy Has Her looks Still And Shes 57
