Maaetar- the videographer and I posted to each other and everything was cool. I left friend direction and he "got it". Why do you have need to rehash this long after the fact?

Appreciate the intent give a tour of the A330, but a shaky camera, wild swings left and right, and a literal sprint through the aircraft left me with the impression of the aircraft was filmed by the same videographer from the Blair Witch crew.

Slow your down, pan a bit slower, and you'll get better results.

Why don't they use this aircraft from DTW-Narita? is it not as fast as a Boeing 747? so instead of it taking 13 hours it would take 15 hours?

They don't use this aircraft on the DTW-NRT route because it cannot hold the amount of people they want to carry. For this reason, they need to use the B747-400. At one point, NWA was sending four B747-400's a day to Japan.

Yeah, but unfortunately I don't think Delta has the money to purchase A380's right now. They were going to be slowly refurbish the 747-400's but it's going to cost them $5 million per aircraft to do so.

@Hail2TheVictorsBaby Delta will probably never order Airbus aircraft, and won't have any in their fleet asides from the ones inherited from NWA. As far as I know DL wants to remain Boeing-loyal, and I'm betting they get major incentives.

Can anyone tell me if the armrest on the 4 middle seats in coach class on NWA A330-300 can be raised up so the 4 of us can make 1 big bench seat?, were in Row21-C/D/F/G flying from ATL-HNL.

If I'm not mistaken, the armrests can go up except for the two isle armrests. I assume you 4 are a family, right? Have fun in Hawaii and Northwest has great flight attendants so your flight should be very nice.

Actually it is/was Minneapolis/St. Paul International (MSP). Currently MSP is Delta's third largest hub. Detroit-Wayne County International (DTW) had much of Northwest's and still has much of Delta's international traffic, but Northwest's headquarters is/was in the suburbs of Minneapolis. Trust me, I live here!

I too like this brandnew looking Airbus A330 cabin interior design. Last year on a domestic German flight from DUS to MUC our second biggest German airline Air Berlin has used such an aircraft too. Really I was very impressed and pleased.

This is not the longest plane in the world. The longest passenger jet is the A340-600 followed by the B777-300.

@Aviationnation10 yes there are no passenger seats inside the new B747-8 intercontinental , there are videos on youtube about "the Bourget" airshow in France , you can see inside the cabin of the B747-8 , only measure or test instrument with a few seats for engeeners . try , search B747-8 cabin , you'll only see 3D seats

Yes, it's locked and their is a one-way mirror. The people inside the crew rest can see out, but no one can see in.

Ohh. The Economyclass. Brings memories. a 9 hour flight from Schiphol - Memphis with a Northwest A330-300 . So airtight and uncomfortable. Much better back to Europe with KLM's 747 from Houston

This actually the first time I hear someone complaining of the seats on the A330/A340. I much rather prefer the 2-4-2 lay out in the Abus than the 3-4-3 in the Boeing 747. :)

Yeah, you will probably be a disturbance. So what I do is just wait until the person sitting next to me gets up, and then I get up. Or if you really have to go, just say "excuse me, could I please get out?" Then just hop over them or something.

Please don't believe what you hear about Detroit. It's not that dangerous at all. In the neighborhoods, that's where it's a little bit more dangerous, but where the skyscrapers are is not dangerous. Detroit airport is one of the newest and most modern airports in the country and has the second longest terminal in the world!

I love the Netherlands and have been there many times. And plus Detroit and the Netherlands are kind of connected since Northwest and KLM are official partners and do everything the same. And plus Northwest has like 5 flights a day just from Detroit to the Netherlands, and they take a B747-400 in the summer.
