Growth under FDR was the longest lasting and steepest the USA had every seen. Even before WW2.

The recession was over by the end of 1933 (because the economy expanded).

That's not even remotely true. Unemployment was at 19% in 1938, it wasn't until companies started manufacturing war materials for the allies AND the Nazis that unemployment was under control. "Because the economy expanded." What a great scientific explanation.
