Yesterday Manson revealed the first single of the new album at the Alan Cox radio show!!!!It's uploaded on youtube check it out.He said that there isn't an exact release date yet,but the 1st single is called "No Reflection" and will be revealed soon....finally :)

I watched the born villain video and thought it was a piece of postmodernists crap but the song wasn't too bad, although I have no idea what it was about.
But that's what manson is, I think. He is a postmodernist. A charlatan who makes obscure art that actually means nothing.
If you want Manson to make another angry album than you'll have to take away all of his wealth and have him suffer in a prison for a year eating only dogfood and getting pissed on by prison guards. That's the best way I know to make someone angry.

In recent years, great albums have received little to no promotion. How the hell do you think the mainstream would continue to contain people into the bubble of crappy autotuned-over-rated-talentless music if great music was to enter that realm? Linkin Park was heavily promoted, and we received a shit album. Limp Bizkit was not heavily promoted, and we received a decent album. (Nu-Metal genre)
Level of promotion doesn't dictate if an album is good or bad.
This sounds very good, i know this album will be a great comeback.... this album will have something to do about christianity and those albums r the best, and im sure the next tour will be amazing, unlike theol, honestly his voice was fucked that tour. I love Marilyn Manson, but I’m 14 and I was a little girl when Brian Warner gained great popularity. I regret to say that I never got the chance to go to a Marilyn Manson concert or go out and buy the latest album. I was always somewhat upset that I never got into this band until what seemed like the end of their career. But a new era of Manson approaches, and there is hope. I’ve never anticipated an album more, I know it will be the best. Rock isn’t dead. Not as long as Marilyn Manson lives. :)
Well his voice is definitely not what it used to be, but we already knew that. I don't mind that his voice changed a bit, but it definitely needs to be worked with in the studio like it was with Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. The instrumentation, while definitely more metal-esque sounds kind of boring. Like it's being heavy just for the sake of being heavy. If you listen closely around 0:17 it sounds a little similar to I Want to Disappear, Rock is Dead, or Posthuman, which is good
This clip is really a teaser. It sounds (as much as can be heard) as if the music has somewhat shifted back towards metal, from the previous two albums' sort of retro-rock. This can be quite good.

Mansons never once disappointed me I love seeing everything he comes up with.
EMDM wasn't what I expected from him in 2007 but I liked a lot of the riffs and the words he used. Also there were some great beats on that album as well.
THEOL was definitely better and I love every song on it with the exception of wow.
There's a strange disturbing quality to a lot of the songs which I liked a lot.
Like the howl at the start of I have to look up just to see Hell, that still sends chills down my spine
@Doppelgangersin Bah.. I don't agree. I am a big fan, Eat Me, Drink Me was a letdown at first, but it grew on ya, mostly due to the feel of it. a very sincere and "real" album. Took me years to really like it.. But.. The High End of Low? In my opinion, that was garbage. Complete and utter garbage - half the songs sounded like REM, the lyrics were actually BAD (And Manson is a lyrical genius), and his voice completely fucked by Absinthe. I hate that album.
Furthermore the songwriting was really on the low - This album looks alot better. It seems like Manson got his sincerity back, and most importantly, Twiggy is back. Those two make magic together, and i think they influence eachother. Since Twiggy left, every album has been kinda lightweight or insincere. Last album with Twig was Holywood. I think with both of em teaming up, some of the old magic is gonna come back. It better. I am really excited for this. And no more bad love songs please..

this is kinda hitting me as just being more of high end of low...he was really repetitive with his lyrics on that album...one of the reasons i didn't really care much for it...i know this is just a few seconds of it...but he's still using the same lack luster no emotion style of talk singing that he used on HEOL which is also why i didn't like it.

I don't mind that his voice changed a bit, but it definitely needs to be worked with in the studio like it was with Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. The instrumentation, while definitely more metal-esque sounds kind of boring. Like it's being heavy just for the sake of being heavy. If you listen closely around 0:17 it sounds a little similar to I Want to Disappear, Rock is Dead, or Posthuman, which is good

This clip is really a teaser. It sounds (as much as can be heard) as if the music has somewhat shifted back towards metal, from the previous two albums' sort of retro-rock. This can be quite good.

Mansons never once disappointed me I love seeing everything he comes up with.
EMDM wasn't what I expected from him in 2007 but I liked a lot of the riffs and the words he used. Also there were some great beats on that album as well.
THEOL was definitely better and I love every song on it with the exception of wow.
There's a strange disturbing quality to a lot of the songs which I liked a lot.
Like the howl at the start of I have to look up just to see Hell, that still sends chills down my spine

@Doppelgangersin Bah.. I don't agree. I am a big fan, Eat Me, Drink Me was a letdown at first, but it grew on ya, mostly due to the feel of it. a very sincere and "real" album. Took me years to really like it.. But.. The High End of Low? In my opinion, that was garbage. Complete and utter garbage - half the songs sounded like REM, the lyrics were actually BAD (And Manson is a lyrical genius), and his voice completely fucked by Absinthe. I hate that album.

Furthermore the songwriting was really on the low - This album looks alot better. It seems like Manson got his sincerity back, and most importantly, Twiggy is back. Those two make magic together, and i think they influence eachother. Since Twiggy left, every album has been kinda lightweight or insincere. Last album with Twig was Holywood. I think with both of em teaming up, some of the old magic is gonna come back. It better. I am really excited for this. And no more bad love songs please..

That's because people still want the Antichrist, MA, Holywood guy back, It's over.. That part of his life is done. You are entitled to your opinion an i respect it, Holywood is still his best album followed by Mechanical Animals, then Antichrist.
His albums to me are still pretty solid, not like the previous but i like them an respect him an his changes.
My only complaint is that some of his live shows esp festivals blow.
But i will be buying the next album regardless

this is kinda hitting me as just being more of high end of low...he was really repetitive with his lyrics on that album...one of the reasons i didn't really care much for it...i know this is just a few seconds of it...but he's still using the same lack luster no emotion style of talk singing that he used on HEOL which is also why i didn't like it.
