  • if only wayne's had started that easy

  • Saweet Deere man... I've always loved them.

  • are you in Elko county

  • @twirtsmotorsports14 in Montgomery County Ohio not a bad place to be except for the arm pit of the county known as Dayton

  • do a walk around tour of that enormous minniappolis he has

  • thats not a crank dude. thats the flywheel. thats how most of them old john deere tractors made in the 20s n 30s n 40s were started. that was the only way u could start em. in the late 40s or early 50s they started makin em with electric start systems

  • thats a john deere AO model a orchard sweet runner too

  • @TheTractorguy140

Okay, if thats an orchard tractor, then where are all the shields and covers?

  • @ChuckE2009

That is definitely an AO orchard, the unstyled orchard tractors didn't have as many fairings as the styled orchard deere's, check any antique deere literature

  • @ChuckE2009 I'm sorry, my mistake, it is an AR, but the only diff that I know of is the AO has side exhaust and side intake

  • @TheTractorguy140

Its a 1937 AR = Model A Regular (not row crop) It is very similar to the AO. I believe the only difference in 1937 is the AO has a little scoop over each gas cap. I think they even used the same fenders. Someone else may know better as i am not a John Deere guru.

  • @SmokinDodge also the AO models had the air intale and exhaust come out under the hood on opposing sides so there wasn't anything sticking out of the hood to catch tree branches

  • @TheTractorguy140, its not an AO, its an AR.

  • @bigjohnypop haha i have no idea lol i dont own anything close to a tractor. Just have a good amount of interest in them

  • haha thats very cool. Amazing how it starts by doing that

  • Gotta love the 2 cylinders

  • its actually an AO

  • wow too cool

  • nice tractor

  • Does the air have a fuel smell, from the open petcock?

  • @coffeefish well it you get down there close enough to smell it you might get some gas in your face

  • @coffeefish

when turning it by hand there can be a strong odor of gas especially when you use the choke thus making the fuel/air ratio richer. After it starts it will just blow exhaust out of the petcock.

  • Thanks ChuckE.....very cool !!!

  • Inline 6? sure sounds like it. thats indeed a different way to start a tractor. this looked easier to start rather than the starter connected straight to the crank shaft like your old allises. Thanks for sharin

  • @stlchevy95 The old John Deere's are all an inline 2 cylinder. The 2 cylinders face the front of the tractor and the crank runs the width of the tractor. The clutch is on the right side and the fly-wheel (what I was turning by hand to start it) is on the left side.

  • @stlchevy95 easy? .... huff they dont all start like this in my experience you have to pull that flywheel till you are blue in the face

  • nice allis chalmers model G in the background we own 2 of them.

  • id hate to start one of thoses during the winter

  • @JOHNDEERE1234567890 howdy! u would think they r a bitch 2 start in the cold but surprisingly they usually arent 2 bad.

  • Just cant beat them ole Deere's!

  • Yep, that is a cool way to start a tractor.. I started a JD / B the exact same way a few Months ago.. Nice video.. Thanks for sharing.

  • can count on you're john deere's lol
