New Police Story and Forbidden Kingdom had better fights... and he was in his 50s doing those. It all has to do with editing and not letting jackie have creative control

you also have to realize this is a kids movie. if you want more of a forbidden kingdom kind of fight you aren't going to get it. they tried to tame it up so that parents don't complain about the violence. I don't know how old you are, but a long time ago, parents were complaining about the ninja turtles movie being to violent. and that probably still has people nervous about certain choreography.

having complex exchanges and more intricate choreography as well as better editing wouldn't offend parents... it's not like I asked for blood... Forbidden Kingdom's fight of Jackie vs Jet was not graphic at all. That movie could have passed PG if deletion of the language and the stab and arrow scenes.
