  • Rob's gotta do this live. Haha it'd be HILARIOUS!

  • @bassmaster361 And Jason got it from Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, one of the greatest bassists of all time

  • vale verga la forma de vestir del bajista de metallica

  • @jipsonrock HORRIBLE ,rob toca muy bien el bajo, con mucha tecnica pero con jason METALLICA sonaba mas pesado....rob is a very good bassist but with jason METALLICA was a better band, more heavier ....the voice of jason was the gasoline to METALLICA concert in te past ........remember "creeeping death"?

  • The fresh prince of Metallica. SHIZZLE MA DIZZLE!!

  • Just find some bass tracks of AJFA (yeah, they really exisist) and you will notice how great player Jason was.

  • LMAO

  • wtf was all that about

  • gay

  • "AND HES GONNA SHOW YOU HOW TO PLAY THAT FOUR STRING MOTHERFUCKER" RIP CLIFF "BELL TOLLS" BURTON

  • @nickthecomedian he meant comparing the 2 baselines: Jasons on Dyers Eve and Cliffs on Ride

  • word.

  • Hey guys, I've got a little secret for you: Being easy to play does not make music not awesome.

Look at Smoke on the Water. Just about the easiest song there is, but played right it still sounds amazing.

There's plenty of examples out there that also prove that hard/fast does not equal good.

All 3 of Metallica's bassists have been awesome in their own way. I say we give them all the respect they deserve, for writing and playing our favorite music.

  • @CDMVette yet another idiot. Smoke on the water has a pretty easy intro riff, but nobody ever plays past that, nobody knows the verse riff, or the solo, or the ending. Theres more to songs than just the intro and chrous. 90% of guitar players don't even play smoke on the water correct. Also, Megadeth could play anything Metallica could but not vice versa, I have more respect for the musician that can perform art the others can't. A smiley face is easy to draw, but draw it in one second.

  • @larsloveskirk If Megadeth had four constant members that statement might be true. But Megadeth had no faith in anyone but himself and chose to go it alone. Thus, your statement COULD be seen as incorrect.

  • @RikkudoSennin Every mucisian that has been in Megadeth could play anything by Metallica. But not vice versa. So no, my statement could NOT be seen as incorrect.

  • @larsloveskirk It's a debateable thing. I can give it to guys like Broderick or uh...Friedman I think? Hope I didn't spell it wrong. But how can you say that James couldn't? He makes some pretty solid riffs with some pretty awesome flow and stuff. I can see Cliff/Jason/Rob. But not as much Kirk or Lars.

  • @RikkudoSennin You serious? Dont forget about Poland, Pitrelli, Samuelson, Degrasso, Young. All of which cpuld play anything by metallica. James couldn't play Megadeth cause the rhythm guitar solo's and james is much too slow. And Cliff is Cliff.

  • @larsloveskirk megadeth is friggen amazing especially the guitarist james cant do the hammer on shit

  • @larsloveskirk

haha 'A smiley face is easy to draw, but draw it in one second.'

yet another talentless pr*ck who probably doesnt play any instrument what-so-ever and is obsessed with watching videos on youtube of people playing their instrument fast. too many people are obsessing about playing faster and faster that they forget about technicality and the overall quality of the song... sure megadeath play faster than metallica but they will never write a song like nothing else matters

  • @stewfellerlad And Go to my channel I play drums. Metallica will never write a song like Tornado Of Souls, or Holy Wars, or Wake Up Dead, or My Last Words, or Bad Omen, or Peace Sells, or Devil's Island, or The Disintegrators, or United Abominations, or Headcrusher.

  • @CDMVette Yeah dude you're right, and some of the best metal from the 70's and 80's is simple. Like some Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest.

And those bands are old, but awesome as hell still.

  • @CDMVette robert trujillo is a fag i was pissed off when jason left before st anger this is why i hate the two newest albums metallica's motto when they first started was to kill them all(album name) kill al the fake ass hair metal bands now they are using alot of dumbass effects and some of their shit sounds like techno to me

  • @CDMVette Another little fact is that Smoke on the Water was actually written at the last minute as a filler to use up the remaining minutes of the album... and it became their biggest hit!!

  • @CDMVette I can't hardly play a guitar but I can almost play smoke on the water and some of the best songs ever are very simple. Even seek and destroy is only 3 or 4 chords.

  • @CDMVette There were 4 Metallica Bassists, there was one before Cliff Burton.

  • Are you retarded? It was jason on and justice for all.. Which means that it wasn't cliff on bass on dyers eve it was jason.

  • ROFL!

Listen to the bass track on Dyers Eve and Blackened.

    So tight and flawless.

Jason was the most skilled bassist out of Metallica whether you like it or not.

But obviously speaking, Cliff was the god of writing thrash music.

  • @dbzsony

    Cliff > Jason

    Have you HEARD Orion?

  • @possibleninja

    Have you READ my post?

    Quoting :

'But obviously speaking, Cliff was the god of writing thrash music'

The bass solos in Orion sounds amazing but both Rob and Jason could play them. Just because Cliff wrote godly music doesn't mean he's the most skilled.

  • @dbzsony

It takes skill to write good music bro. While I'll admit that Jason was technically sound (especially his work with Devin Townsend), his playing didn't have the balls that Cliff's did.

  • @possibleninja

I know that Cliff is the most skilled at writing music, he's the most skilled at writing music of Metallica, never mind being the bassist.

I was speaking how they're playing. Jason can play a lot faster and his sound is more strong and tight, whereas Cliff could be sloppy at time.

A good example is the Ride the Lightning bass track and Dyer's Eve bass track. Jason is faster and heavier but Cliff's bassline in Ride the Lightning is just amazing...

  • @dbzsony do you even know what your talking about Cliff is on Ride the Lightning jasons on ...And Justice of all... dumbass

  • @FadedANDXrated420

    LMAO.

It was a comparison if you actually listened to the bass tracks.

Dyers Eve shows that Jason can play a fast and tight bassline whereas Cliff is a little sloppy, slower in Ride the Lightning.

It's a COMPARISON. Do you know what that is?

  • @dbzsony you cant even hear jason on the and justice for all album tho

  • @SHAPmovies

That's why I said 'bass tracks'.

  • @dbzsony ahh i see

  • lollollol

  • @MetallicA1399 Dude Rob and Cliff rape the shit out of Jason, Fuck Jason for leaving.

  • This is garbage

  • This isnt rob u crazy muppets

  • hes not rob

  • :( why Rob? Why?

  • the CLICK!!! xD very good stuff

  • lol

  • what's wrong with Rob? better than Jason was

  • ROB U AINT 19 NOMORE,SO SHUSH

  • He's better than Jason :)

bass guitar with pick... I don't like it.

  • @tomivoker dude same!!!! thats why i slightly dislike the bassest for yes, he is amazing, but you just cant use a pick for bass its not natural

  • @tomivoker jason played with a pick because he played with his fingers for so long the first 2 layers of his derma were ruined he just never switched back...but jason is a pussy

  • @tomivoker

soo, motorhead sux amirite? guns n roses too. u sir, fail epicly.

  • @tomivoker well you also have to think, there are advantages to playing bass with a pick

  • uhh

  • yea! Rob you rulez xD hehehe

  • hahahaha wack

  • lol omg

  • geile sache man.....echt gelungen
