This is great! I hate that they have to cut great material like this for record companies to produce albums! There was enough bonus material from black bird to atleast make an EP! I wish they would have! Oh well, sigh.......... AB III ROCKS, so i don't think it was that big of a deal!

This is possibly one of Alter Bridges best songs and I can't get it on any copy here in the states, damn it all! It just has such an uplifting sound and care free sound that could suit Alter Bridge very well.

This is real music. The music we hear today is just a shell of what music used to be. Today it's all about image, electric beats and auto tune. Just a bunch of studio effect bullshit. Glad we still got bands like Alter Bridge to show us that there's still guys with talent out there.

I agree. They let Miles do a lot of the writing for Blackbird, but for One Day Remains, Tremonti had all of it done and Miles just came in a laid down the vocals. They should've kept it that way.

Sad. Just sad. How can you deny the talent of Myles and the rest of Alter Bridge combined? All four of them work well together and Myles' involvement is what makes the Blackbird album so special. How can you not see that?

If you think the Blackbird album is generic, I'd like to see what you think is phenomenal. Have any of you even heard of the Blackbird track itself? If you've listened to that 8-minute track (that's right - 8 minutes!) and called it generic, well...there's no hope for you.

While I do agree that using Myles as a full guitarist makes the cd a great one, I do have to agree with super...man sorta. Blackbird does sound a bit generic to me just because most of the songs are heavy and dark (not too dark tho) whereas with ODR, there was a variation between heavy and lighter. I'm sorta torn between the two, B-bird is great, no doubt about that, but there was something about ODR that made it GREAT if you get my drift.

I bought the album the 2nd day it was out. I've listened to every song on it at least 5 times (you have to listen to an album at least 4 times before you can formulate an opinion about it), including Blackbird, which is great at best, but not epic. The length of a song isn't what makes it epic.

Like I said, SURE IT ROCKS, but it's generic. An album can rock and still be dull. I would take the well written One Day Remains (Or any Creed album) over blackbird any day.

What I was saying is that AB was able to handle an eight minute song and keep one's attention span going while taking the time to integrate Tremonti's rock sound with Myles' bluesy one. The metaphor of the blackbird was another aspect of the song that shines. This song was written in memory of Myles' good friend who passed of cancer and the lyrics are unlike many current songs out there. THAT'S why it's epic in my book.

u know at 1st when i 1st heard this song i was like... meh ya it rocks but not as good as there other stuff but after listening to it some more it REALLY grows on you, another great song by one SPECTACULAR band!
