Can you please tell me which distributor is the best according to the ignition timing advance performance and over all performance the double vacuum and centrifugal or the one which is being fitted with the Ignitor kit here if have both of them but I don't know which works better.
I have current installed the one with double vacuum advance system.
I did this eight years ago and it still works beautifully. For anyone with an ACVW who is thinking about this swap I say most definitely go for it, unless you enjoy setting your points.
exelente!

Where to red/black wire go?? Also do you need ballast resistor to drop down 12 volt to 8 -ish volts coil supply like on points type?

@SWD2263
For the ballast resistor you do not need if the coil measures 3.0 ohms of resistance on 4cylinder applications.

I've done this to my 1969 Beetle and it runs like a dream. A great investment and good ridance to those points
