  • I can't wait til the new Cedric stuff comes out, because I can dig on this shit. I like the afrobeat feal but, it's like evil afrobeat!

  • You know what would be sweet?? If someone tabbed the bass for this.. and then sent it to me.. as a gift of kindness :)

  • This is incredible.

  • tasty

  • can you imagine what one can do with blood sample of Jesus lol

  • god omars guitar is so funky and tight.

  • its not omar its frusciante

  • the samples on this song are as follows. intro sample comes from a tv show called disinformation(uk tv show no longer around) in an episode that dealt with 'the montauk project...(a chair used by psychics in a lab in jersey that the governtment used for time travel experiments) in one of the travellers missions, he was to go back in time to when jesus was on the cross and extract blood and bring it back to the future. 2nd sample is from a sam fuller flick called shock corrridors.

    =)

    t agradeceria mucho tu respuesta

    tnkx

  • Buenisimo...! ^^

  • really great sound. could listen to this all day.

  • i love this song, but i nearly slapped myself for not knowing it was cedric :P

  • I can tell the voice recordings in the beggenings and endings is Cedric's signature, it was in ATDI, and cryptomnesia, I wouldn't know of TMV but it seems like Cedric likes adding some sort of intro or story before his songs (you can just look up some ATDI shows and hear his vivid fictional intros), sets in the mood I suppose.

  • The next album should have a bit of this in it.

  • sounds a lil bit like a great Fela Kuti jam

  • viva los dregtones!!!!!!!

  • This song is so full of strenght, it is fierce and dramatic, It really should have been on Amputechture where it belongs, that's why nobody gets the story behind Amputechture and The Bedlam In Goliath, this song is essential to understand the whole story.

  • Know where the intro audio came from? I've never pinned it down.

  • The voice at the beginning of this song is Cedric, if that's what you mean. But I'm not sure what you mean, so I wouldn't know.

  • Yeah, I meant the voice. I was under the impression that it was a sample from a movie. Seemed plausible since Cedric's know as a movie buff. There's similar stuff on Cryptomnesia. I thought that may be connected aswell.

  • If you're talking about the connection of the albums, there's only Amputechture and The Bedlam In Goliath, and the beginning of the story is of course, Live Private Booths, and the bridge in between is a song called Sapta Loka. Cryptomnesia has nothing to do with it, but I'm really interested in knowing how do you relate them?

  • I'm not connecting them in terms of concept or story. The "ambiant" parts of Cryptomnesia with vocal clips strike me as similar to the beginning of Live Private Booths. The words spoken there also strike me as similar. As if it could be part of the same story from a different character. Again I thought all of these vocals were samples from something else, and I was thinking the Crpto samples may have came from the same place as these. I thought both works were quoting a similar outside source.

  • Interesting about the Sapta Loka bridge, I've never heard of that. I have all the Vinyl, so I'll play the entire thing this weekend and check that out!

  • Did you get the story and it's origins?

The order it should be played goes as following:

    Live Private Booths

    Amputechture

    Sapta Loka

    The Bedlam In Goliath

It's a bit hard to put it all together but it's a matter of self-interpretation, metaphoric understanding, correlate and interconnect and many other external factors, so, you might as well come up with your own conclusions. I just put it on the table for you to analyze and interpret.

  • bonheur ecorpion à quatre queues!

  • :)

    :)

  • let me know how your progress goes, majt. =D

  • Sure. :)

  • L

  • Weird, I never noticed, maybe they did it on purpose. Geez I've got to find out.

    Thanks for pointing that out!

  • @4TailedScorpion explain to me the story, ive been trying to put it all together and im not even close to understanding anything hahaha. Ive never known anyone to say what you have so I am interested. Please hit me back up

  • they did that at alot of concerts when relationship of command came out... for catacombs it was huge the story intro

  • I think i was from cryptomnesia but i dont know what song.

  • I don't get it. What was this released on/as? I thought I had heard everything involving cedric... I never heard of him releasing any kind of solo tracks.

  • it was released on "The Special 12 Singles Series" just google it & see the wikipedia on it. it's on itunes.

  • the only thing i want to know is where this man shops!

  • I wonder who all is involved in this. Omar on guitar? Cedric on drums?

  • Maybe Omar On Bass.... Yeah.. That Sounds Like Him..... Well I Don't Know

  • Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised.

  • Bixler like doing dub music and playing drums he makes this music for himsefl to having fun.

  • the intro is excellent

  • Somehow after this, you start to wish what it had been like if Cedric went solo with songs like this.

  • Is there more work out there of him? ca you people tell me more works of Cedric Bixler? impressive.

  • A band called De Facto. I have the discography. very good song

  • I can tell you other bands of cedric...

i think you know at the drive-in and de facto but you should also check out "the fall on deaf ears" and "los dregtones" on myspace

  • yeah sure I already know them, but the other 2 im gonna check them out :D

  • wait, is this from cedric Bixler Zavala? it is impressive, does anyone knows the name of the album...?

  • its on GSL special 12 inch single album or something liek that, i couldnt find it to download so i got it off itunes but you can get it off megaupload now

  • this is awesome

  • I'm so glad I found this, I've been looking for ages!

  • I've been looking for some of his solo songs! Thanks for this one :)

  • Which album is this from? I didnt know he had his own solo stuff...

  • Cool picture at the end. Is that from New Orleans?

  • yeap, it is

  • is Cedric drumming on this?

  • I really really like this. Ced should do more solo stuff.
