the samples on this song are as follows. intro sample comes from a tv show called disinformation(uk tv show no longer around) in an episode that dealt with 'the montauk project...(a chair used by psychics in a lab in jersey that the governtment used for time travel experiments) in one of the travellers missions, he was to go back in time to when jesus was on the cross and extract blood and bring it back to the future. 2nd sample is from a sam fuller flick called shock corrridors.
I can tell the voice recordings in the beggenings and endings is Cedric's signature, it was in ATDI, and cryptomnesia, I wouldn't know of TMV but it seems like Cedric likes adding some sort of intro or story before his songs (you can just look up some ATDI shows and hear his vivid fictional intros), sets in the mood I suppose.
This song is so full of strenght, it is fierce and dramatic, It really should have been on Amputechture where it belongs, that's why nobody gets the story behind Amputechture and The Bedlam In Goliath, this song is essential to understand the whole story.
Yeah, I meant the voice. I was under the impression that it was a sample from a movie. Seemed plausible since Cedric's know as a movie buff. There's similar stuff on Cryptomnesia. I thought that may be connected aswell.
If you're talking about the connection of the albums, there's only Amputechture and The Bedlam In Goliath, and the beginning of the story is of course, Live Private Booths, and the bridge in between is a song called Sapta Loka. Cryptomnesia has nothing to do with it, but I'm really interested in knowing how do you relate them?
I'm not connecting them in terms of concept or story. The "ambiant" parts of Cryptomnesia with vocal clips strike me as similar to the beginning of Live Private Booths. The words spoken there also strike me as similar. As if it could be part of the same story from a different character. Again I thought all of these vocals were samples from something else, and I was thinking the Crpto samples may have came from the same place as these. I thought both works were quoting a similar outside source.
Interesting about the Sapta Loka bridge, I've never heard of that. I have all the Vinyl, so I'll play the entire thing this weekend and check that out!
It's a bit hard to put it all together but it's a matter of self-interpretation, metaphoric understanding, correlate and interconnect and many other external factors, so, you might as well come up with your own conclusions. I just put it on the table for you to analyze and interpret.
@4TailedScorpion explain to me the story, ive been trying to put it all together and im not even close to understanding anything hahaha. Ive never known anyone to say what you have so I am interested. Please hit me back up
I don't get it. What was this released on/as? I thought I had heard everything involving cedric... I never heard of him releasing any kind of solo tracks.
its on GSL special 12 inch single album or something liek that, i couldnt find it to download so i got it off itunes but you can get it off megaupload now
I can't wait til the new Cedric stuff comes out, because I can dig on this shit. I like the afrobeat feal but, it's like evil afrobeat!

Know where the intro audio came from? I've never pinned it down.

The voice at the beginning of this song is Cedric, if that's what you mean. But I'm not sure what you mean, so I wouldn't know.

Did you get the story and it's origins?
The order it should be played goes as following:
Live Private Booths
Amputechture
Sapta Loka
The Bedlam In Goliath
It's a bit hard to put it all together but it's a matter of self-interpretation, metaphoric understanding, correlate and interconnect and many other external factors, so, you might as well come up with your own conclusions. I just put it on the table for you to analyze and interpret.
