However, I must say that as much as African-Americans went through the whole slavery era, current generations shouldn't continue to blame that as the predominant reason for the low level of education of the average African-American. Also, wealthy Africans are not interested in coming to live in America. Most of the Africans here are seeking greener pastures, and they pursue higher education as a means of achieving that goal.

Many African Immigrants who come the USA are not rich. There are some who are, but most are not well off. They just have a different work ethic. I came here when I was 11 with nothing but the clothing on my back, graduated high school, got a BSc in Epidemiology, Masters in Public Health, and working on my medical degree. However, I must say that as much as African-Americans went through the whole slavery era, current generations shouldn't continue to blame that as the predominant reason for the low level of education of the average African-American. Also, wealthy Africans are not interested in coming to live in America. Most of the Africans here are seeking greener pastures, and they pursue higher education as a means of achieving that goal.

Many African Immigrants who come the USA are not rich. There are some who are, but most are not well off. They just have a different work ethic. I came here when I was 11 with nothing but the clothing on my back, graduated high school, got a BSc in Epidemiology, Masters in Public Health, and working on my medical degree. Same with my siblings. It is all about hard work, and not letting your parents struggles go to waste. But I don't put down others at all.

And the statistics say at least 2/3 of African and Asian immigrants who come to this country generally have higher education and money when they immigrate to this county. Every African immigrant doesn't come to this country with nothing but the shoes on his feet and the clothes on his back. If an African came to America prior to the civil rights movement he or she would have had no problems going to any school institution, bar, toilet etc because of obvious economic ties between both nations.
